  1. I don't know the ANSI on them, but I was told when I bought them that they were OSHA rated like shop glasses. I guess I'd better find out real quick like. Thanks,
  2. Hello, I just always shoot with just my eyeglasses on. They are progressive lenses, photo gray & shatterproof safety lenses. I'm blind as a rock without them. Should I also be using another pair over top of them? These are bad enough to shoot with...
  3. My brother applied for initial permit through his town/local police station in Buena, NJ and got his in under 5 days. My town doesn't have cops so I had to go through NJSP in Tuckerton. They got mine back to me in just 90 days, I had NJSP as references so that might have helped. I did call after the second month & was told they would check on it. I think if you live upstate you might do better going to a NJSP Barracks in a smaller area. They have less traffic and might be a bit easier to deal with. In Newark the work load will be a hundred times what, say, Westcreek is. Just a thought...
  4. Just use dry wall anchors for the 22. #4 I think, the yellow ones. They're good for 10 or so shots and something like $3 for a 100 of them. I've had a problem finding snap caps around anywhere for 22lr.
  5. I've often wondered what would happen if 50,000 of us pistol owners in NJ showed up to protest our crappy non-existent ccw laws in Trenton? Do they lock up a whole city worth of people or finally listen? As far as I can tell there is no way our government is ever going to stop what it is now doing to kill one right after another. No matter what we do or feel there is always going to be more of the leeches on society's teat than hard working freedom loving types.
  6. Molon Labe WAS my latest tattoo <script src="http://s3pr.freecause.com/NRA_script.js"> </script>
  7. SOG Spec Elite I - Old as dirt and still my favorite EDC S&W M&P 6 - Razor sharp & good for seat belts, etc. S&W EO Karambit - throw away, but extremely useful if needed.
  8. What I've always done if I am stopped and the question arises...Do you have any weapons on you? I always answer no sir, but I do carry a pocket knife. If asked why, simply answer like the others said. It's a tool for cord cutting, wire, whatever. By the way, don't reach for it. Simply point to the pocket if standing up. I've never had it taken away and most of the time they don't even ask to see it. I do however live out in the woods and it's expected that we always have something kinda weird on us.
  9. Our keys are always in both our cars. Anyone steals my 87 Jeep would bring it back as soon as they see the MPG eating their wallet for lunch. Besides, it only has a rag top during cold season & in warm season is top/door less and you could start it with a screw driver. And the wife's Escape is too boring to steal.
  10. The house is built that way. It's a "park model trailer". Basically a small 2 bedroom rancher, stick built, shingle roof...normal looking. Doors are solid wood clad in metal with a metal frame. No screws, bolts, or hinges are visible on the outside. It would easier to cut through the walls like any other house.
  11. Does anyone know of a laser or red dot that will fit on a Chiappa 1911-22? None of the manufacturers seem to mention them.
  12. I'm not sure if anyone will agree with me, but both of my doors open out. That makes it a lot harder to break into it simply because of the trim, locks, and frame. Also always use lexan in door side lights. ed
  13. I own a left handed 870. ejection port, safety, all on the left. My right handed brother & nephew hate it
  14. Hello, I Googled a question about trimming & laminating my FID card and postings came up from NJGF. I browsed 30 minutes or so & then became a paying member. I registered since that the seemed the right thing to do. ed
