  1. I was wary about using Target Sports USA in the past because of the negative reports online. However, I recently ordered from them because they were the cheapest option for 124gr 9mm bulk ammo and chose to pick up the ammo now that I have moved back to CT. They're a relatively small operation and I can attribute their slow shipping times to this. I will definitely order from them going forward.
  2. I recently picked up a P320C with siglite sights. The trigger is a little bit heavier when compared with my vp9, but the break is much more defined. Overall, the quality of the handgun is fantastic and ran beautifully with both FMJ and JHP down the pipe. This will be my new EDC once I find a left handed holster for it. However, I would try it first and not blind buy. Availability has been a bit sketchy, but I found one through Hoffman's Gun Center in Connecticut. They're an elite dealer and my "born on" date is 09/24/2016 which is pretty much fresh off the manufacturing line. I was in the shop, processed through NICS, and paid in less than half an hour.
  3. Yea, I do have a gold membership. That is, unless my eyes have been deceiving for the past year and three months...
  4. wow I can't believe I missed this. Did an email go out?
  5. Hello everyone, The lovely Fedex delivery man left my package of 1,000 rounds of S&B ammo in the rain. According to the Fedex site, he delivered it at a time when it was pouring in my area. I have taken the ammo out of the boxes and am leaving them out to dry, but is it a lost cause at this point? Thanks!
  6. My last permit is about to expire and I'm at a loss on what to get. At this point it's either make one last purchase, let the permit expire, buy ammo, another AR, or parts for my AR in the event parts will become harder to find in the near future. I know I might be a bit paranoid about AR parts becoming scarce, but you never know with all the press firearms in general have been receiving. I think I have all major groups for me which consist of: DA/SA 9mm - Beretta Striker Fired full sized 9mm CCW 9mm 1911 Striker Fired .45 ACP .22 lr I really would not like to add another caliber, so I'm really leaning towards another 9mm as it's the caliber I shoot often. I was thinking a base CZ 75 Shadow, but it seems redundant with by already having a full sized all metal 9mm.
  7. Off Topic, but this is related to: Nothing in subsections b., c. and d. of N.J.S.2C:39-5 shall be construed to prevent a person keeping or carrying about his place of business, residence, premises or other land owned or possessed by him, any firearm, or from carrying the same, in the manner specified in subsection g. of this section, from any place of purchase to his residence or place of business, between his dwelling and his place of business, between one place of business or residence and another when moving, or between his dwelling or place of business and place where such firearms are repaired, for the purpose of repair. For the purposes of this section, a place of business shall be deemed to be a fixed location. Question: If you're a stock holder of the company in which you hold a position, are you exempted as long as the company you are an owner of (albeit a relatively small percentage) does not have a codified policy against firearms on the property?
  8. My head is spinning now that you all are adding O/U into the mix.
  9. Of course plus it has the added benefit of accentuating one's package.
  10. My girlfriend took me to my first shotgun related session this weekend at Thunder Mountain. Let's just say I'm sure she's regretting it now that I'm in the market for a shotgun to shoot clays with. All jokes aside, it was probably one of the best shooting activities I have done in quite some time. It sure beats standing in a port shooting at a stationary target. I used a Remington 870 express which I liked a lot. I know many would suggest an over/under setup, but I'm not looking to spend that much. As with everything firearm related, the internet can be the devil and while I enjoyed my time with the 870, I have my eye out for a Beretta A300 Outlander for some odd reason. Would I be better served taking the immediate "jump" to a semi, or should I stay with what is arguably "tried and true". thanks!
  11. I'm a short and relatively skinny individual. For me, it's more of an issue between using the seven round vs. the eight round magazine with finger rest. I've been using the concealment express iwb holster with adjustable cant and have no problem concealing even with more "tight" fitting polos and jeans/khakis/pants. Aside from the obvious printing, most of the time people will mistaken it for something else other than a firearm. My home town up north is ultra sensitive to any type of carry, and I have never been questioned for carrying in public.
  12. I tried a g43 at the range today and it was a nice shooting gun with the exception of the trigger finger pain I had by the end of the session. I have a vp9 with a similar "safety trigger" and it does not cause me any discomfort compared with my time with the g43. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
  13. Connecticut did indeed have a did have a grandfather period in which people could register their scary, black rifles and large (standard) capacity magazines.
