  1. He doesnt, he's a politician. He is fighting for his political life and only cares about what's immediately in front of him.
  2. Christie is in such bad shape due to to his Ego and loud mouth he's painted himself into a corner with the budgets, pension issues, double dipping friends, and investigations he has little wiggle room left. I have the feeling he used this as a bargaining chip with Sweeney and yes, it will just pass due to his inaction.
  3. National doesnt stand a chance if Hillary is the next president, we are done.
  4. The other goofy rule some gun stores have is that you cant even use your cell phone in the gun area. A guy got a call and he was immediately scolded and told to walk 5 feet out to the archery area. I asked why and they told me "it could compromise our security". Was a dinky little place with no special security at all.
  5. My town did the same thing to me, my question is why they contact your employer at all? There is no requirement to be employed to obtain a FID, what if you were unemployed? Contacting your employer is 100% B.S.
  6. Christie is going to let it slip into law. He is so screwed up right now with blown budgets, pension prpblems, and investigations he needs to bend over for the Dems. I guarantee he has promised not to veto it for some further consideration down the road. Christie's aadministrationis falling apart, dont underestimate the desperation of a down on his luck politician. -------------------------------------- P.S. ogfarmer - Your sig is wrong, here is the right one: “Nothin' more useless than an unloaded gun. ” ― Tony Soprano
  7. I'd call 911 and then run out to help, I would not bring any firearms. Anyone who has faith that the prosecutors office will "do the right thing" is out of their mind.
  8. Yup - On the internet, lots of things are interpreted incorrectly. With that said, a private seller and request/require any stipulations they want with their sale, sometimes they think its the right thing, sometimes it's just to make them feel comfortable. I think I would request a matching DL as well.
  9. I have a bad feeling Christie will let it sit and pass due to his inaction. He is in such bad shape politically due to the investigations, budget forecast misses, credit downgrades, and other scandals he is going to use this to make a deal with the Senate democrats, namely Steve Sweeney for some leeway in other areas.
  10. Another OC idiot. Im sure the security guard wasnt enlightened or educated, he probably complained to everyone who would listen and still is. When you know gun owners are a minority and we are working hard to improve acceptance of second amendmnent freedom, and knowing anti gunners will use the actions of attnetion whore OC retards against us all, it's just plain stupid. End of story.
  11. The people who walk around with rifles and open carry like that in public places solely to illicit some kind of negative response (so they can post on youtube most times) should have their teeth kicked in. They do zero good for the second amendment, or to endear gun owners to the general public. Those clowns are assholes and are willingly smearing good gun owners reputations. Jackasses.
  12. Thanks for the replies! Hopefully I'll see you on the 8th.
  13. Dave - I would like to take a ride over to the club/range and check it out, possibly join up. Is there a good time for this? Anyone in particular to talk to?
  14. LOL. "Carry" in your house. Not sure why but it strikes me as funny.
  15. Like it or not, the law of supply and demand will previal. Imagine the supply being halved or even drying up and the supply staying the same, has nothing to do with gouging. Captialism and free market alone tells us that ammo will be beyond "expensive" to insane.
  16. I wouldnt discharge a firearm in a neighborhood if I were you. Make the calls and let the "professionals" ignore it. There are ways to discourage bears from visiting - try those.
  17. Yeah. Im happy they are in business and any gun dealer is better than no gun dealer but they are very expensive on almost all their items, firarms related or not.
  18. This was definitely a political retribution sort of thing. In my opinion Donald Norcross is one of the most crooked yet influential politicians in NJ. You get on his bad side, you are toast. He's the one who got Corzine elected and the story goes that Corzine received his marching orders from Norcross every single morning.
  19. This article is very insightful. http://www.ammoland.com/2014/03/gun-law-critic-james-kaleda-targeted-by-nj-state-police-arrested/#axzz2zj8tuDhx
  20. Keep in mind that for rechargeables, there is a .3 volt difference. May not sound like a lot but in most devices that take 4, 5 or 6 batteries using rechargeables means the device could be running a ~1.5 volt deficit, that's like having one whole less battery. That's why lots of devices don't like rechargables.
  21. Submitted my recent experience. Where can I view the compiled info?
  22. It's hilarious that the protesters didn't even realize they were being picked apart.
  23. According to the publicly available DNS info, its owned by a South River NJ resident.
  24. If you leave the "s" off this forums name when typing it in your browser it redirects to the Brady campaign website? "Typosquatting" is kind of a scumbag move for a cause that believes themselves to be so righteous isn't it?
