  1. Yeah sp-01 uses standard cz 75 mags. I think mecgar makes some 15 rounders. CZ P-07s can use standard cz 75 mags however sadly the 09 just barely doesn't lock up.
  2. Much classier than I honestly would have expected. Looks great.
  3. As an option tho it is rarer these days. CZ75 SP-01 Phantom. You get the better looks of the SP-01 with the polymer chassis of the p-09. Only thing that stinks is you will have the older non-omega trigger setup, but with maybe... 60 bucks and some time of your own you can get bits from cajun gun works to make it an even more solid performer.
  4. Thank you very much for the replies guys, I will be contacting these people asap. I should just learn to save myself the trouble and just check here first...
  5. I have tried to find this via searching and calling around but I seem to get vague answers or just simply they can't do it. I am looking to see if there is a way to FFL transfer an m70 yugo style ak from classic firearms to NJ. While 99% of it is legal, it needs the muzzle break pinned. Does anyone know of a FFL that will transfer and also pin it for me? I live in the 08234 region but I dont mind taking a trip. Here is the listing for others interested but also for others to see if my thought process behind the whole ordeal is correct. http://www.classicfirearms.com/paprifle-2 I'm new to the online purchases/FFL transfering world so any insight is greatly appreciated. James.
  6. Took me approximately 22 days of waiting for my FID and P2P to arrive at my station. Mullica is a smaller township with a lot of hunting and such so I assume that's why there was a speedier resolution to my FID. If you live in Mullica Twp. and want an FID, they definitely are some of the nicer officers and personnel in the area i've dealt with.
  7. I have an ithica flues sxs 12ga shotgun from approx. the 1940s or 50s id suppose. Maybe earlier. It was my great grandfathers. It appears in good condition with nice bores and such but it has a strange habit. If you crack it open carefully just barely letting the breach open so you can extract shells, theres no issue. If you break it open with any force or let it swing all the way open, you will hear a click and it will now refuse to shut. Happens if the firing pins are released or not. Makes no difference. Pressing the breech release (i don't know proper terminology on this style of shotgun) or triggers or any combination of the 3 means nothing either. I have to remove the front grip by popping it off. Then it will easily swing back into place. I don't notice any unusual looking markings on the pieces. If anyone has any ideas on where to start that would be awesome. I'm typically pretty handy with working on my own weapons, this is just more of a family heirloom but i also dont have big $ to spend on taking it to a gunsmith. Forgot to add. It doesn't lock completely open. After the click it will still swivel to a point. Basically it will let it close until the shell extractors come in line with the firing pins. And its not the extracts being jammed and hitting the pins. I've made sure of this.
  8. Thanks very much everyone for the help. Much appreciated. Now its just a matter of time and patient waiting
  9. I tried a quick search and didn't get a ping. But I am waiting for my p2p to come in so I can pick up a CZ sp-01 and I would love to get the kadet so that I can shoot 22 as well as 9mm but I can't seem to find info regarding the acquisition of one in this state. Thanks for any help you guys/gals can provide me.
  10. Serves double purpose. Concealed gun and don't have to worry about kids anymore. Sounds like a double win to me.
  11. 1. CZ P09 2. S&W MP40 Later ones Glock 22 (with a couple conversion kits), I'd love a Colt SAA (if anyone has any suggestions for cheaper options, I'd LOVE to hear!), Ruger Mk series.
  12. I haven't had a hands on yet, but i have a friend who has one. He hasn't mentioned any issues besides the coating is easy to chip and he wasn't a fan of the stock grips. Considering a true cz steel frame is like 600+ I don't see them as being a bad cheaper alternative.
  13. Hopefully I will be able to share my own experience. Waiting for an appointment to have my fingerprints done, dunno if it's a state thing or because of my local police department, but they don't do the fingerprinting at the station anymore. So I have an appointment there next week sometime.
  14. I recently got back into shooting after a few trips with my brother in PA and a local friend of mine. I slacked off on getting my FID for many years, but decided it was time. Despite my lack of ID, I have maintained and worked on the family's weapons since my earliest years. Figured it was best to join up to better educate myself with legal aspects and also get to know a community involved in something I like. Hopefully once my paperwork goes through I will hope to acquire a cz [always was a fan of the steel framed ones (always like the rail system they had), but totally looking at the p09 atm] of some respect and take the misses out for some relaxing plinking. Take care, James
