  1. They have gas mask inserts you can get to have your dr out your your script in. But both are a smart idea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. As mentioned above. It doesn’t take much for a state to process them, and the financial gain they will get from individuals like us living in the PRNJ or the PRCA will gladly shell out any number they ask for just to get that right. Hell those states could up he prices to a couple grand for out of state permits and I know I’d pay just to be able to carry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I was too busy running around my apartment in sheer excitement to snap a photo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. True. But it’s exciting non the less. Especially with a potus who would actually sign it. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkHow do the republicans have so many nays all of a sudden Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I know we've got many co-sponsors. And I try to avoid the negative comments But we finally have a chance to fix our broken firearm laws in the country and make them more uniform across the board and our leaders simply aren't doing it! I try to remain patient but I can understand the dismay. Those of us in the PRNJ have been looking forward to catching a break for so long now. That it finally being attainable; Us once more getting our rights back is just within reach, but with a total lack of motion after original introduction. These things have a time limit on them. 2018 is right around the corner and the concern now should be If this isn't enacted before then. Will we have the votes needed to pass it, or will the fascist left once again hold some kind of majority and hope is once again lost, where we're told to vote again in so-many years down the road for them to be put into office once again only to fall short on deadlines again. Peruta was another case that could of helped up, most of us in PRNJ got our hopes up that the SCOTUS would hear the case and with Gorsuch on bench we'd be able to pull the votes needed for a foundational shake-up of states laws in regards to the 2nd amendment. But once again we were let down. Point is these politicans need to get off their ass and fix this NOW if they are truly serious about it and secondly to remember that those of us who may laugh at others saying things are gonna change by (insert date here) have remembered the multiple times we've been let down in the past. I've honestly given up on the Peoples Republic of New Jersey. Even if tomorrow I could Carry in this state (be it open or concealed) I'm out of here as fast as I can manage.

  9. Correct. Fill out the forum in full and mail the check, that's all you need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I would imagine it all boils down to enforcement. If the federal government actively enforces the new ruling vs passively then things may change sooner then later. If they do it passively then it'll take a court challenge to ensure total compliance. Sadly, I see PRNJ going all "10th amendment" on it tho and digging their heals in. This of course is assuming that the conservative justices don't rule against it for the very same 10th amendment reason. It's a tricky case to be sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Crazy thing is, if you make it out in the woods or the country I'd actually visit my parcel and camp there. If so sign me up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Also can I just point out how crazy it is that so many New Jersey residents are boosting another state(s) tax base while our own is missing out? Seems kinda stupid on NJ's part. It's a ready made money maker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Application/check mailed in 2/24 Check cashed 3/20. Permit received 3/20 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. http://freebeacon.com/issues/national-reciprocity-bill-will-apply-non-resident-gun-carry-permits/ This may just change the game for us here in New Jersey. Dunno how valid it is tho I can only hope and pray. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Something about that is off. When I met with the Detective who did my paperwork he acutally laughed and said he would have my mental health check back by the next day and made mention that, thats the quickest aspect about the whole process.
  16. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID). Initial FID and 2 PP 2. Police Department where you applied.East Windsor PD 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD.Detective Brian Gorsky 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. Issued 8/28/2014 total time taken to receive permits 24 days 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form).None 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.). Had an appointment schduled today. I thought I was getting finger printed at station turns out otherwise. Had to schduel an appointment with identogo, earliest appointment was Aug 5th, 2014. Detective Gorsky was amazing. Told me to expect the permits in about 3 weeks (so roughly the end of august) once everything comes in (prints, references, etc) Even mentioned that the mental health form should come back by tomorrow and my refrences should get their letters by Saturday if the USPS doesn't screw it up! Wish I could of gotten the fingerprinting form before hand but oh well. Ill update with more info when I have it. Update: References got their letters today (Aug. 1). A day before Det. Gorsky said they would. Looking promising so far. Update: Completed fingerprinting on Aug 5th. In the final stretch of wating now. Update: Received the call on Aug 28th. Permits are ready to be picked up!
  17. It's not about reading. I've shot a 9mm for almost 9 years now, and have carried one in combat situations. And when I said "I consider..." I guess I should have said IMHO because that's all it is. My own opinion. But thanks for your "valuable" input.
  18. I have a medium size back pack in the trunk of my car and this is what is inside of it: Cheap Vodka (bartering tool and or sterilization method) Tri-Fold Military style shovel 2x emergency "space" blankets 2 magnesium fire starters bic lighter First aid kit Survival knife Compas USGS maps of current state and bordering states. 1x MRE Water purification tablets canteen canteen cup 100' 550 cord (para-cord) Bonnie hat shamog (light scarf) dozen road flares flare gun rain jacket 3x black garbage bags sleeping mat head strapped flashlight small/cheap led flashlight am/fm/tv/air radio extra batteries 3x extra socks (MOST IMPORTANT ITEM!) 3x underwear 3x undershirts "rite in the rain" notebook pencils and pens It may seem like a lot but this all fits inside the back pack with plenty of room to spare and isn't really heavy at all. Its all a matter of what suits your needs and what you want to have access to in a bad situation. I deem this my "get home bag" as my work takes me 100+ miles away from home at any given point in time. It takes up a small amount of room in the trunk of my car and has enough supplies to help me last at least 72 hours initially while having the capability of lasting me even longer if I ration things correctly. And IMHO if SHTF you DO NOT want to be driving around in a car. By that point people have lost their minds and will do anything they can to get their hands on transportation or stuff they were to lazy to prepare for before. Better to just be able to carry what you need, stick close to the tree lines and travel quietly/lightly to where you gotta go. Outta sight outta mind. However the fact that you can work on your own truck and carry tools with you helps greatly and your already better off then you would be otherwise. Keep in mind roads maybe congested and or completely blocked so investing in tire chains/tow-chains/hi-lift jack (which can be used as a makeshift winch) can help out if you need to find an alternate route and get in a jam. Another thing to consider if you dont want to abandon the truck is fuel. Get yourself a 5 gallon jerry can and have it filled at all times, if power is out gas stations might not be able to pump and the lines can become too long and volatile to consider as an option (hurricane sandy was a good example of this). Best of luck in your preps.
  20. That's what I've been hearing and my references have been notified that they will be getting something in the mail shortly and are ready to respond ASAP. I go in Tuesday for my fingerprinting etc.
  21. Good call on gaf tape. It's really personal preference when it comes to that but it's defiantly needed. Especially if you actually wanna reach out and touch something at 600 yards if that reticle is too bright you'll be lucky to even see the target.
