The gun has a lot of holster wear but the barrel could be brand new for all I could tell. The trigger is smooth. It was a great purchase IMO.

Yes, this is not a C&R eligible firearm.

I love the way it came out honestly, the wood grips with the wear looks amazing. $300 for the gun $75 for the grips. Can't go wrong honestly especially since things are scarce, expensive and non-existent right now.
  4. I have never been questioned or even looked at while shouldering my "other". I built mine with the SB4 Brace which is very "stock" like. It's a brace...how you use it is up to you. It's intent is to be a brace and not shouldered.

Got the new grips, also test fired it but only a couple mags. Functioned flawlessly.
  6. @TechOpsInternational could be an option if they could reach out to me with price and availability.
  7. I didn't get an email about this and I'm very interested in one of these lowers. Unfortunately, none of those FFL's are close to me, are there any other purchase options?

The amount of grossness that came off of those grips when I took them off to clean them, and the amount of grossness that is still in them....yeah...that's a negative LOL! I really do like the walnut grips I bought.

She’s home and all cleaned up. I can't wait for the new grips to come.

Not a bad deal for $300 plus transfer and NICS.

That's what I'm thinking too. I actually like the wear on it. I'll post pics with the new grips and go from there. Thanks man.

Thanks brother, I love these grips. I didn't wanna spend it on a cheap surplus but these were the ones I wanted.

I ordered these grips yesterday. I'm hoping they give me the look I want. Still trying to decide if I want to fully restore it or leave it with the wear. https://www.ebay.com/itm/402408252126

I think I'm gonna buy darker walnut grips, see how it looks from there and maybe try and restore it myself. Or I may just leave it alone cause the holster wear does give it character.
  15. Nope I don't have account, it'll just have a header saying what I explained above. But yes, if they don't have the gun in hand they can't submit NICS cause they need to verify the serial number, make, model. You're looking at early next week. They have to check the gun into their books before they can transfer it to you.
  16. During time NICS are open this site will tell you how many in queue and what day they're working on. https://www.njportal.com/NJSP/NicsVerification I checked about an hour ago and it was 1083 in queue and working on Saturday as of 8:04am or something.
  17. NICS site says they're working on Saturday as of 8am today, so that's 2 days. As long as he actually submitted it while you were there you should get it back by Thursday/Friday latest.
  18. I filled out NICS today also, joked with the guy about my 5 day waiting period, he said 2-3 days. So no definitely not a week.

So I guess I'll be spending another 50% of what the gun cost me on grips and potentially new locking block LOL

I get that, but if you click the link from where I purchased it, they say it's police trade in. Not military. Either way it's good to know that the locking block can fail on these.

There's 2 on Ebay for $67, I'll look at it when I take it apart once I take it home next week. Thank you for the suggestion, I 100% appreciate it. Like I said I've never purchased a surplus firearm before so any info is extremely helpful.

This is supposed to be Italian Police surplus. No mention of military as far as I know.

While searching for random parts I saw locking blocks. Do you think these police trade ins were actually fired enough to warrant changing it?

Thank you! It'll be nice to get her home and clean her up. There's definitely a lot of holster wear but I doubt it was fired much. I haven't really decided if I wanna leave her worn with new grips or try and redo her slide etc.

I was able to go today and fill out NICS. Here she is, I’ll probably pick her up next Tuesday and do a full take down. I definitely need new grips.
