  1. and those are the ones from your mag..they were red at one time....carbon as you say....mine look rubbed and dirty from my pocket....I've noticed the rubber attracts junk......omo....switched to something else.
  2. don't care much for these rubber tipped rounds....they attract dirt in the magazine and the rubber gets dirty, and the rubber wears / rubs if your carrying the mag in pocket.....could affect loading port delivery.....omo.
  3. Well in one of the vids I've seen apparently a few copper rounds in some cases defeat body armor out of a 9mm....I dunno, but I do know no armor penetrating rounds in NJ along with JHP and others............
  4. anyone carrying any of the non-hollow cavity / Solid copper monolythic rounds like Underwood or Ft. Scott........checking my options.
  5. I guess I already know....our Midland walkies reach about a 1/2mi. up here on the Mountain.
  6. Living through a different era than most of the younger fellas on here, it's funny how I can see the evolution of the modern holster (although these are still made, sold and used world wide) into the Kydex and mind altering reality of the present.....no one had to tell my buddies to keep their finger off the trigger while drawing a gun....but I guess today we need to be told everything........omo. PS......a concealed holster, and that's what carrying a pancake style today would be, would not be for fashion purposes as someone here suggested....ya probably never tried one with a Model 19-4 in one under your jacket.
  7. center pic of the pancake OWB.....for instance.....most of you here are novices.....not sayin' but I was carrying a revolver since the 70's and my first Model 36.....all these holster types are used every day by CCW folks around the country......all these restriction are _ _ _ _ _ _ _ just seems to me who ever concocted this was only considering autos and not double action revolvers......omo.
  8. How does this pertain to NJ..... . Holster requirements For purposes of this section, “holster” means a device or sheath that securely retains a handgun which, at a minimum, conceals and protects the main body of the firearm, maintains the firearm in a consistent and accessible position, and renders the trigger covered and inaccessible while the handgun is fully seated in the holster. (cf: P.L.2018, c.37, s.1) Most leather holster for revolvers some of which we still carry do not have the trigger covered...ie. high-ride / pancake .....so where doe this fall in.

  14. The sorry part is, the COSTCO in Bridgewater is in one of the most crime ridden areas .....all those shoplifters they arrest there 24/7 are in the parking lot with ya before they get into the stores.....a crime fest everyday as posted in the local Police Blotter.
  15. Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson touted Florida residents' rights under the state's Stand Your Ground law A Florida sheriff responded to the criticism and praise he has received for his viral comments about encouraging citizens to use the kill shot against home invaders. During a press conference in April 2022, Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said, "If someone is breaking into your house, you're more than welcome to shoot. We prefer you to do that, actually." The comments have gone viral again in juxtaposition to a story in New York where a woman was arrested for trying to remove squatters from her property. Johnson told Fox News Digital in an interview that he stands by his comments and that it's a "no-brainer." "I said [at the press conference] if you shoot accurately, and you kill the guy, you save taxpayers money. And I also said that if somebody gets killed during a home invasion, the odds of them re-offending are zero. And we like those odds, which we do," he told Fox News Digital. And in Santa Rosa County, we have a very high percentage of the population that have weapons, and I promote the use of them if you're in your house. And somebody kicks your door in because they're not coming in to give you a hug or to give you cookies, they're coming in to commit felonies," he continued. The incident Johnson addressed at the 2022 press conference was not a squatter situation like the story in New York, but a home invasion. Since he made the remarks, he claims there has not been a single home invasion. "And it's kind of ironic that, since that press conference, we haven't had any home invasions, and it's been over a year, so it's kind of odd," he said. The sheriff touted Florida's Stand Your Ground law, which say residents do not have a legal duty to retreat (i.e. making a reasonable effort to escape) from an attacker. "You don't have to retreat. You don't have to give them warning. You don't have to go barricade yourself in a room. You can shoot and kill them. And in the state of Florida, that's perfectly legal," he said. "And in these other states where they don't have that, people are afraid to own guns, and they're afraid to protect themselves. That's why you have the crime rate in New York, in California."
  16. I know they have an exam and eyeglass section in the COSTCO in Bridgewater......does that qualify them for a off limits store.
