  1. The problem is NJ has had a reputation for being an unfriendly state to guns, gun owners and etc. This has been going back a long time, and its those liberals democrats in the state house that are the problem. Plus an AG that can make up laws without the input from the people. The Clinton-era "assault weapons ban" in the 90s is a perfect example. The federal law was patterned after the NJ one

  3. Looks like John Stossel over there on Fox has the same problem in NY http://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2016/04/21/fox-business-john-stossel-tried-to-get-a-new-york-gun-permitit-turned-out-poorly-n2151874
  4. They want nothing more than a bunch of obedient workers and not citizens. Because they are politicians they believe they can decide what is good for us. The democrats aka communists have contempt for the U.S. Constitution and the rights it protects. Gun control is nothing more than buzzword for people control, because an armed populace will not capitulate. This is not a "public safety issue", when has anyone heard of a responsible law-abiding gun owner doing anything? never. Its always thugs, criminals or just overall wackos that they REFUSE to do anything about. We don't have a gun problem in this state or our nation..we have a THUG problem..
  5. The problem is the politicians have forgotten who works for who. Plus, especially here in the People's Republic of NJ we have unelected officials making policy that shouldn't be. And its sad that one of the places where the American Revolution was fought has some of the worse oppressive gun laws in place. The Second Amendment was put in place to prevent this type of bullshit. However, the politicians work overtime at attempting to subvert our God given rights. And it seems to be the democrats or shall I say communists that are working overtime at restricting it or attempting to take it away. But here in NJ we have this: 1968 the Gun Control Act put in place by the NJ attorney general at the time (unelected official making laws) The requirement of the FID Separate permits for EACH pistol you purchase, plus you can only use ONE a month (thanks to that douche Florio) Background checks at point of sale and they don't use the federal system, oh no NJ has to have its own Concealed or Open Carry in NJ? NEVER Bans on specific firearms just by name: AR's can't say AR-15 on them, AK47s can't say AK47. Or the most retard one due to the Plainfield riots, the ban on the M1 Carbine. Has any of this prevent Thugs and Felons from obtaining illegal firearms? I would say NOT!
  6. So true, the leftists are nothing more the communists that want to control every aspect of our lives so they can do whatever they want.
  7. I stopped by Middlebrook in Greenbrook this past weekend. They seem to be a good bunch of guys in there. Will go back again
  8. Can these people be anymore unAmerican? the best comment "How about this: When you have to ask the government for permission to exercise a right, it is no longer a right, but a privilege. When it becomes a privilege the government thinks they can make ridiculous rules to go along with it. The legislature in NJ is basically telling every grown man and woman that they are not responsible enough to carry a firearm, like you all are their children that need to be protected from themselves. I don't see why someone doesn't sue to carry."
  9. The CMP was my first thought, but unfortunately the CMP does not have anymore of the Springfield 1903s
  10. Does anyone know of a shop here in good ole' NJ that handles old military rifles? What I am looking for is Springfield M1903, preferably an M1903A3 but if its in good shape has a higher serial number. The only ones I have seen are at the gun show I went to in PA but I'm concerned about condition if I buy something like that on gunbroker Any suggestions or advice? thanks
  11. Name, address and etc. Just a useless illegal form that they "lost" 3 times. Nothing more than what was on the official forms Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. After 8 months of waiting, numerous phone calls and the letters that finally helped resolve the issue. I have finally obtained my permits. Advice to anyone running into delays, just stay on it
  13. That is what I am working on. I will let you all know the result of my next step thanks
  14. This is true and my goal here was just to let everyone know what goes on here in the "People's Republic of NJ" when it comes to our gun rights. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You are absolutely correct, these additional requirements are illegal. But the local municipalities manage to get away with it with no repurcussions. My plan now is to send out some certified letters documenting this experience to officials in my town.
  16. Some meaningless form my local PD added on. A form that is not required by the NJ State PD. From what I've heard other municipalities have added other items as well. But, I submitted this twice already. Just another delay
  17. Just a little bit of an update, I still have no received my permits. And we are going on 6 plus months now, and to add to the fun. I received a letter from the local PD that the Application Flow Sheet is missing. Now this will be the third time I've had to submit this form. Just fascinates how this is has become such an ordeal. However, I have been preparing a letter which will be going out this week.
  18. NJ2AS contact me about doing a video but I don't have time to take off to do that....plus it would be tricky. I am working on composing a letter
  19. You're not alone my friend. I am going on a six months wait in Plainfield for my handgun permits. They told me they were overwhelmed with them now, But four months, six months...comeon. If I took that long to do anything at my work...I'd be canned.
  20. Thanks Luso, I've seen your videos and see what I can do to help out...might be tough though.
  21. The first delay was they were not setup for the online background check system. That was only completed less than a month ago. Now the reasoning is they are way way way behind due to the increase in requests. And when I asked to speak to the Capt, I was refused.
  22. Hope everyone had good holidays, just a bit of an update on my additional handgun permit delays Gave the local PD my weekly call and they are still reviewing my application even after I completed all the steps on my end. It has been 5 months, 22 days Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed? The frustrating part is I've spoken to other gun owners and they have experienced 2-3 weeks at most.
  23. Thanks, I actually sent them an email last week as the problem I was experiencing was that my town was not accepting any online requests for the form 212A. Even though the State PD required it, however after a few months my town finally set themselves up for the online request for form 212A last week and they notified me this past monday. So I am just waiting some more, I didn't hear back from the NJ2AS however. thanks
