  1. I use Nationwide for both of my dogs. My wife was offered it through work and so far it's been great. They reimburse for some of our regular visits up to a certain point which is nice. I just scan or fax in a form with the bill and I will get a check in the mail. Any even where we had to go to the vet unscheduled was covered.
  2. I have a 11 F150 with the Ecoboost and I have been happy with it, it tows really well and rides nice. I used to have an 01 Ram 3500 with the Cummins and that was a good truck too. It started to rust pretty badly around the cab though and I was always on top of keeping it clean in the winter, but none of the preventative maintenance I did for that seemed to help much. My neighbor just got a new Dodge Ram over an F150 because it was 10k less for a similarly optioned truck.
  3. I guess it depends on what you're coming from. I had a 1997 Impreza before buying the 2014 and I thought the 2014 was a rocket compared to the older car. But when I hop in it after driving my F-150 ecoboost it feels pretty slow. I think the CVT makes it feel more peppy than it actually is, especially when overtaking on the highway. It responds much faster than the older Subaru automatics. Although it is weird how it just revs up and hangs there as speed increases, it did take some getting used to.
  4. We have a 2014 Impreza Sport, pretty much the same as a Crosstrek. It's been great so far and the highway mileage is in the low 30's. I wanted to order it in a manual but lost that battle. I never owned a car with a CVT before and I like it.
  5. I have used Lance @ Best Termite & Pest Control out of Rockaway and was happy with him.
  6. What model modem do you currently have? If its not an Arris 802/822/1602 then you don't have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem and its not capable of the speeds you have been upgraded to. Once the modem is swapped you should get those speeds hardwired out of the modem. After that, it will depend of your router as to what speeds you will get. If your router splits networks - to a 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz network, you have to use the 5Ghz network to attain the 200Mbps speeds. The max throughput on the 2.4Ghz frequency is roughly 70Mbps on a perfect day when the stars align. There are other factors involved that can affect speed/service. Could be outside issue(bad drop/fittings outside) or the configuration inside the home. RF noise/ingress can affect it as well. If you have any questions, you can PM me. I am an in house service tech for Optimum and I'll try to help you out as best I can.
  7. Fios is fiber optic cable until it reaches the white ONT box, which is mounted either on the outside of your home or typically in the basement. After that, whether it is cable or Fios, its all the same coax cable and can be used by either provider. Typically the only pieces that need to get changed out are splitters, sometimes the fittings if they are junk. Fios ONT unit stays with the house, that doesn't get returned. You will typically have to pay an installation fee even if your home is prewired, sometimes you can negotiate it down.
  8. If you are in an area with only a cable provider, it's harder to get the bill down. When there is Fios/Cable in the same area it is much easier to negotiate pricing as you are considered a "competitive" area. In those areas the residential sales rep will sometimes knock on your doors with offers and they have the most competitive pricing to offer you. Having multiple set top boxes will usually raise the bill pretty quickly too. You're looking at roughly $10 a box per month with the cable company.
  9. I have a 2011 MacBook Pro, I just upgraded the RAM to 16GB and put in a bigger solid state hard drive. It's like a new computer with those upgrades. I love it and never had a problem with it. I know Other World Computing sells used macs, not sure how competitive their pricing is though. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/Apple_Systems/Used/Macs_and_Tablets
