  1. You've waited this long, can't you wait till the weekend when it will open?
  2. Well at least they were not on the refused certiorari list. I am sure Alito is not happy.
  3. This is really getting ridiculous. State parks, golf courses, gun stores but shooting ranges where you can practice are closed? Now beaches opening. How does he expect to show any fairness or objectivity in the upcoming court cases? I wish Alito could do something, I know he's on our side.
  4. As gun owners we have been disappointed many times but I now agree about the floodgates. There are about 10 gun cases waiting for conference this week. There has never been that many at one time. As pessimistic as I have been can the Supremes really dump all those cases? That would be pretty blatant like asking if we really have a 2nd Amendment.
  5. Yup totally agree I like living here in NH. We came here from Hamilton Twp. in the late '80s.
  6. Just got a reply from Ft. Dix and said they are still closed. Their last line was it was not their decision. I know our Governor doesn't make sense but what really is illogical, is approving hunting but not shooting ranges!
  7. I sent an email to Anthony but I haven't seen anything yet.
  8. I mean gun ranges were included in the essential business for home security. why are ours still closed after gun stores were opened? I also looked in nj.com page of what's still closed today and gun ranges were absent.
  9. With today's opening of the state parks, golf, etc., did Murphy's order include the gun ranges?
  10. That brief of 04/29/2020 is a model of clarity and brevity.
  11. eye, don't worry when this thing finally winds down, you'll have a shooting buddy to go with you. Of course we'll still have to keep 6 feet apart. What really surprised me was the fact that the base is federal and military and they closed. Of course they are not really closed, the soldiers can still shoot. I was never in the service but if any of you guys were, and your uniform still fits maybe you can sneak on the base?
  12. What's really going to hit the panic button in his office is Memorial day!! There are percentages of New Jerseyans that go to Church (or other house); there are percentages of us that like the outdoors, go shopping, etc. But I would bet the highest percentages are the ones that go down the shore. In addition to Americans driving from other states. That will be the breaking point, like Prohibition was. And let's not forget that day is a solemn day in most families across the USA.
  13. "When you are permanently disabled plus in the high risk dept., you have lots of time." Of course the law had something to do with it. I don't want to say you're thinking with your heart and not your head, but you are. Who stopped you from the right of assembly or to bear arms? I've been in hospitals with high fevers and pneumonia for the last 8 years at a week at a clip. Oh yeah I also had sepsis almost each time. My wife won't let me out of the house cause of her worrying about me and if anybody has a right to feel like crap it's me. I am not just a shooter but an outdoorsman. I love being out in nature and I thought that this site was full of folks like me. I started this thread to bring some relief for myself and some friends who might not have thought about this option. Now you can take a walk, catch a fish or whatever you choose. I am sorry I started this post. For the complainers you guys can post each other, but for me I'm going into my 4WD with my wife and my cane and get out into whatever lake/wooded are that I can find.
  14. Hey eye, "You guys are killin' me! Guilt trip on..." In Shooter circles that's called enabling!
  15. Shocker, let me help out a new pal that lives next to me. How about a smile and some gun porn at the same time?
  16. Dave, you have a fellow sufferer here. I have a type of Sarcoidosis. Have had 104-105 fevers at least 3-4 times. Complications from cellulitis & pneumonia too. On intravenous antibiotics by the gallon. I am also on prophylactic antibiotics. Enough about me. I'm just glad you are doing better. Sorry about your kidneys.
  17. Sorry I thought everyone knew that in NJ all gun sales no longer can be private. I meant that you will be FTF with the seller to inspect anything you buy. Unlike GB where you have to rely on pictures.
  18. You also didn't mention if it has to be new or used. Used opens a lot more choices. Here is a site that is in each state. You might have to log on, account is free. Right now there are 152 rifles for sale in NJ. One thing about this site, you can buy a gun FTF, unlike the internet auction sites. https://www.armslist.com/classifieds/search?location=nj&category=rifles&posttype=1&ships=False
  19. Maybe it was like talking in a courtroom. They didn't want to volunteer anything they did not have to or spread any happiness to us outdoorsmen. Now that we have conservative majorities in the 2nd and 3rd Circuit courts of Appeals, I can't wait to have a gun case cross their desks now. So we wouldn't have to go to the SCOTUS. If they ever pass the shall provision for handguns, even though I don't necessarily need one, I'll be getting one no matter what the cost.
  20. Searching the net. When you are permanently disabled plus in the high risk dept., you have lots of time. Now it's supposed to rain today the 13th, but as soon as the sun comes out again, I'm getting out with a mask.
  21. Come on guys, you think I would be fibbing. That is not a loophole. We pay for their management. Now there are shooting ranges at WMA's, but that's for Hunter Education, which he does control. https://www.njherald.com/news/20200409/town-parks-are-mix-wmas-still-open
  22. I know that a lot of us on this website do some shooting as well as some fishing. Just to let any fisherman watching this, in NJ the evil Murphy has one outside area he can't touch. If you want to go fishing go to your nearest Wildlife Management Area (WMA). These do not belong to the DEP but to the DFW. Why? Because they are paid for by all the evil materials Hunters & Fisherman use (ammo, licenses, etc). So get out there.
  23. Aren't die sets retail going from $30-50? Even if you cut their worth by half, you got 3 die sets that would cost you close to $100 or more. I know when I bought my used press my friend told me a good chunk of the price was in the 3-4 reloading dies included. Bag I'm not arguing with you because I am nowhere near any kind of expert in reloading. But I can check prices.
