  1. Actually this looks like a pretty good deal on GB. Plus it has dies you wanted. Only about a day and 15 hours. No bids or negative feedback. No reserve. What do you other guys think? https://www.gunbroker.com/item/864264523
  2. I just checked UPS ground is less than $20. 192 + 20 = 212 Doesn't look like they charge sales tax. Makes it a pretty good deal. Also I don't prime on the press. Been using a Lee Auto prime. Works very good. Do it while watching TV/movie.
  3. Well we only have a couple of months to the SCOTUS NY Rifle Case vs NYC. Although the NJ case Rogers vs Grewal (the shall/may issue) did not get certiorari , it is on the docket. The SCOTUS may have been waiting for the NY case. But in either case the full 2nd & 3rd Appeals Court's now have Trump majorities which they didn't have before, which started the mess in the 1st place. Which means if SCOTUS doesn't do anything the lower court could now vote in our favor.
  4. Yes, the big thing to remember about taking your time and forget the thought about reloading saves you money. Maybe for exotic or ancient Western ammo like (.32-20; .32-40; .45-70 and above -90; .110). Boy when I first started I had to be told that I had to label boxes and how many times that I used some brass. I actually thought that I just cleaned used brass, threw it in a plastic tub and used it again. Luckily I had a good instructor.
  5. That's the press I was going to buy until a friend that looks at all kinds of house sales found me a Lyman Al American. Sure it's an older model turret press but it's built like a truck. Also I didn't want to get the shellholders that adjust to the old model. I wound up going on E-bay and found all the shellholders I needed. Here's a pic.
  6. did ANJRPC or NJ2AS let us know how the lawsuits are doing? I hope that they weren't dropped when Murph opened up the gun stores.
  7. Sounds like you need to call Evan Nappen the gun lawyer and tell him about your situation. He's in NJ.
  8. Well our new 3rd Circuit of Appeals Judge appointed by President Trump, Judge Bibas, had a great line in his dissent in the NJ Rifle Assn. about magazine size. The logic of it just boggles the mind. Now this case only had a 3 Judge panel and of course 2 Obama Judges voted against him. If the size of a magazine can make a difference in the hands of a mass shooter, Bibas notes, it also can make a difference in the hands of a law-abiding person using a gun in self-defense.
  9. at this time CJRPC and Range 14 rod and gun are closed as per their website.
  10. Good point Jack. For NJ it would be the 3rd circuit, where we now have a majority in case the District court goes along with the Murph. In addition if the Rogers vs Grewal case in the SCOTUS already gets sent back down to the Appeals Court (the shall -may requirement to deny carry permits) we have a majority, so things related to guns in NJ are starting to look better for the future. BTW, we have no chance in District court in NJ because there are 7 lib appointed judges and only 4 conservatives.
  11. But they are going along with the Gov on the public range. The military ranges are wide open.
  12. I did some legal investigation on line about the Circuit Courts. There is a new day for the 2nd and 3rd Circuits. Thanks to President Trump there is some good news in the future. The 2nd Circuit takes care of NY mainly and has 13 justices, 7 Conservative and 6 Liberal. The 3rd Circuit takes care of NJ and has 14 justices, 8 are conservative and 6 are liberal. What that means for the near future there shouldn't be cases like NY Rifle clubs vs. NYC, because we have the majority. Even better is that NJ has a real chance for some positive gun cases. Another good sign is that each SCOTUS justice covers a circuit court of appeals. The SCOTUS that covers the 3rd circuit for NJ is our Justice Alito. If a new gun case gets turned down for us in District court, we now majorities in the circuit courts, that would rule in our favor. Lastly a huge positive is that even if the SCOTUS sends the NY Rifle Club case back to the 2nd circuit, we now have the majority in the 2nd circuit. That means that they could rule against NYC now with the new majority.
  13. Does anyone know if the public range 14 is open at Fort Dix?
  14. What I have a problem is isn't the State Police open? They do our NICS checks.
  15. Getting close to Martial Law. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20200322/new-jersey-stops-firearms-transfers
  16. Well any of the gunowners on this site knows having a 2nd amendment is small consolation.
  17. I wonder how many other folks on this forum know this. The New Jersey Constitution contains no provisions relating to the keeping or bearing of arms.
  18. With 3 or 4 NJ gun cases in the SCOTUS rolls it's like NJ is daring them to try to pass one and see what happens. Another real legal question I'm clueless about. When the NYC case got certioari and the NJ may/shall issue proceeds. When both cases and the court of Appeals sent them up to the Supreme court, the 2nd and 3rd courts were more liberal. Well now Trump's justices have caught up and both have more conservative justices. If Scotus sends the cases back down, could the more conservative courts pass in our favor?
  19. Here was a link from a Heritage article (granted they are conservative). Ginsburg balked at the city’s suggestion that under the prior regulations, residents with a second home should simply buy a second gun and leave it unattended. “What public safety or any other reasonable end is served by [having one gun] in a place that is often unoccupied and … more vulnerable to theft?” she asked.
  20. What blew my mind was when Sotomayor said why don't they just get a carry permit if they want to carry a gun somewhere? Even if you are anti-gun didn't one of her clerks tell her that's the whole point of the lawsuit!
  21. Ditto supra. These babies would be better off reading Scalia's opinion in Heller and Alito's in McDonald. I wonder How many anti-gun folks know that both men that brought the suits were black Americans that both lived in high crime areas. Don't forget the importance of the 2nd Amendment but also that of transporting property to other areas and states (the Commerce Clause).
  22. I 've said it before but I still think that Roberts is tired of all these circuit court challenges to SC authority. I'll bet he would love to do something with strict scrutiny to get rid of these troublesome cases.
  23. Here is another indication for us to hope. Trump's Solicitor General asked for asked for leave from the Court to participate in oral argument was granted. The guy that was denied was an anti-2nd amendment lawyer with a specialty in linguistics. He wanted to take apart the language in Heller largely placed there by Scalia. The conservative justices on the Court wanted none of that! 18-280 NY STATE RIFLE & PISTOL, ET AL. V. NEW YORK, NY, ET AL. The motion of the Solicitor General for leave to participate in oral argument as amicus curiae and for divided argument is granted. The motion of Neal Goldfarb for leave to participate in oral argument as amicus curiae and for divided argument is denied.
  24. The ironic thing is that the argument about affording another gun goes against the anti-gun sentiment, because you will be adding more guns to the population!
  25. From all the docs I read, argument means they all get together for oral argument. The mootness thing was decided in conference. Even after argument in December, they will continue talking and writing until a vote occurs.
