  1. Hey everyone, I posted a thread awhile back asking for feedback on the p320 x5... now that I got another purchase permit (last one expired before I bought anything), has anyone stumbled across a Sig P320 X-5 in any gun shops somewhere close to north jersey? Would really like to just buy one from a gun shop instead of order online. Thanks for any help! Alex
  2. Hey everyone, First, thanks for any help/feedback ya guys offer. As the title says, I just filed for my handgun purchase permit (after my last one expired) and plan on getting the Sig P320 X-Five. I'll most likely be buying it online, as I have not heard or found anyone in NJ selling one. So my question is simply, does anyone know any good FFL's in North Jersey, close to Bergen County, that will: 1) Accept the transfer in the first place; 2) Modify the four 21rd magazines to make them NJ legal. Thanks again! Alex (Yes I've heard the drop fire drama) =]

    Sig P320 X-Five

So my last question then would be... an FFL in NJ can't have the gun shipped (if i bought it online) with 21 rd mags right? If it wasnt obvious, I really want this gun lol. Was going to get the S&W CORE before I saw this thing release.

    Sig P320 X-Five

Anyone happen to know if Sig shipped any of these with NJ complaint mags? Been looking for one since they started shipping with no luck. =[ Or better yet, anyone know where anyone has them in NJ? Thanks! Alex

    3 gun pistol!

Thanks for all the feedback! Like I said, I'm definitely going to GFH to try shooting at least the Glock, Springfield, and Smith and Wesson. After that, I'll begin my journey to getting a shotgun =D ... and a new trigger on my AR.... and a trigger on the pistol.... and I'm sure I'll be able to think of more fun things to spend some money on. (Goodbye girlfriend) All joking aside I'll probably just get the 3 guns and try doing a 3 gun shoot before modifying anything. I can't see anything about the sport that I wouldn't have an absolute blast doing, but I should probably try it before I blow a ton of money on it! Thanks again everyone! -Alex

    3 gun pistol!

I've actually never been to GFH (or rented a gun for that matter) but I would definitely like to do that before buying. How does it work when you go? Pay for rental, range access... buy ammo there? Bring ammo? Tried to check on their site but didn't see anything about ammo. Either way, definitely something I'll be doing.

    3 gun pistol!

Hello everyone! I introduced myself on the intro forum a few days ago and brought up that I'm looking to buy a (my first) handgun in the next few months because I'd like to start looking into doing 3 gun competitions. I've done TONS of research and it has narrowed the search down to a few handguns that seem to be ideal for 3 gun. (9mm obviously seems ideal for mag capacity and follow up shots) Glock 34 Springfield 5.25" XDM Competition Series Beretta 92 FS Smith and Wesson M&P As I mentioned in the intro thread I'm 24 and currently in college and working only part time. So unfortunately a tricked-out STI isn't really in my budget. Most likely looking for something under $750 or so, which I feel like should be enough to get me started. I was leaning toward the XDM but then I heard mixed reviews about the trigger etc... It seems most people tend to say the Glock is the best because of the availability of after market stuff. However for some reason (probably partially because my father is a 1911 .45/anti glock kinda guy) Glock leaves a bad taste in my mouth. (Sorry glock lovers) That being said, the more I read about glocks being ideal the more I really do consider at least looking at one in person and forgetting all the completely unsupported reasons that I lean away from them. (I've literally never even held one) Anyway, just looking for any advice! As you can see I'm all over the place with this. Thanks!
  8. They sure are! Took me less than 2 weeks to get my FID. Including fingerprinting, etc. (Which from what I've heard isn't bad at all) Good to know! I assume there will be more info on their website? -Also, I imagine 3-gun in NJ is either more difficult or different in general due to the magazine restrictions, correct? Thank you for the welcome everyone!
  9. Hello everyone! I found this forum while searching for 3-gun competition stuff! (Mostly looking into what handgun I should get, but I'll save those questions for another post) I am 24 from New Milford as it says in the title. I have been shooting with my father at Cherry Ridge Shooting Range since I was probably about 12. About 2 years ago I bought my first gun; the rifle shown in the picture. Was surprised to see this forum so active, especially with many people even from Bergen County or very close to it. Anyway, since I discovered what 3 gun was I immediately wanted to try it, however being in college and a part time job is making that rough for obvious reasons. However hopefully by this spring I can get a handgun squared away and try it out! Glad to have found this site! Happy New Year everyone! -Alex *** I always wear eye protection when shooting... I honestly have no idea what happened here. My brother caught me slipping up I suppose D: ***
