  1. Please, as you seek a buyer, may I also direct your attention to the Mrs. Peel Charitable Fund for Wayward Freelancers?... I've heard only great things about their work! Very reputable, I assure you.
  2. Spot-on! I've seen too many crime studies from credible sources that ALL show remarkably similar results - anywhere from 70-90 percent of people convicted of a crime with a gun were ALREADY ex-felons when they committed the crime, and fully half were still on parole from that last crime. The truth is obvious - we don't have a gun problem, we have a problem with a small number of "career criminals"... made worse by a broken "revolving door" criminal justice system. It ticks me off that this information isn't being better promoted.
  3. Et tu, PK90? Weighing in from Arizona with your traitorous opinion? For shame! FAKE NEWS!
  4. I don't want to encourage you as walk down what is very clearly the wrong path in life... but I must say, I respect that play on words. Well done, sir!
  5. Fixed that. It even rhymes now. You're welcome!
  6. Hey, and suddenly this turned ugly... I think you just called me a hillbilly, or at least close-to-a-hillbilly! Grrrr.... Yeah, there's a lot of "meh" fairly ordinary towns along the main highways --- but you've also got a lot of rolling hills and expensive homes spotted onto large lots in areas like Tewksbury/Oldwick, Frenchtown surrounds, heck...even Bethlehem Township has more than its share of expensive homes (CEOs, wealthy athletes, etc.). You don't see ANY of that from the main drags - which is exactly how their owners like it, I guess. Interestingly, I saw stats recently that far more Hunterdon County folks commute to jobs in Philly than NYC... that really surprised me! I had no idea.
  7. Fair enough. I was raised in Somerset, worked in Morris, owned homes in Warren and then Hunterdon. So, we have travelled similar turf! I was kind of shocked, frankly, to find out how high the household incomes were in Hunterdon --- because growing up, my main familiarity with Hunterdon was Flemington (the outlets). And you can't necessarily "feel the wealth" by that (or in my little modest town, either - as both towns have lower per capita income by Hunterdon standards). But get off the main drags into other areas and you start to understand - yeah, there's a LOT of wealth in Hunterdon county. TTC did start off rather high on price, then adjusted their rates downward... ultimately, I guess the proof is in the pudding - they have "sold out" membership categories. So, I guess they're charging what the market in the general area will bear. But anyway, I appreciate your nice, civil response! You never know what you'll get when you reply to someone you haven't interacted with before. LOL.
  8. If they go pew-pew... it's better, of course. But even if they don't, post them anyway!
  9. Already posted in another thread:
  10. I'm sooo sorry!! Take care of yourself. I can't imagine how upsetting that would be.
  11. Interested read. But if elections are won by "energizing your base" - that's not helpful either. Because he's energizing the OTHER side's base.
  12. Perhaps I didn't express myself correctly? I've listened to others (generally moderate people) expressing great disdain for his "crass" "vulgar" "ugly" comments. (Their words, not mine). See how locked in people are? If I even float the idea that he might be losing critical votes, you all start getting your panties in a twist. Eegads! Back to the topic - Go, Cheeseman & Jillard! Godspeed!
  13. You think I'm offended? I voted for him and haven't regretted it yet. Yes, there are moments I'd love to rip his smart phone out of his hands and stomp it into teensy bits... but that's a minor irritation I've learned to deal with.
  14. Terrible news. For his family and friends. For the range employees and owners. Just awful! I'm sorry to hear this.
  15. Actually, I have friends and family on both ends of the political spectrum. But I do tend to pay more attention to the moderates... because frankly, they are called swing voters for a reason... they are the ones that swing elections! And I'm hearing a worrisome level of grumbling. And although my own threshold for blunt language is fairly high, I still think many of you underestimate just how deeply offensive his vulgar comments are to a LOT of people (not just those who are reliably liberal/progressive)... there's a level of Trump burnout that I think is taking place, like it or not. Hey, just my opinion! But, we're drifting the thread --- back to the topic at hand... Go, Cheeseman & Jillard.. GO!
  16. Yeah, right? I really like that one too. According to the article, there's a miniature firearms exhibit booth at the big NRA show each year. That would be something to see!
  17. I think you're being over-optimistic. Frankly, I hope you're right... and I do agree that the media has overplayed its hand, but then again, perhaps so has Trump. I tend to set my predictions based on what I see in other swing voters. I think you underestimate how much voters "in the middle" (even those that voted for him) are sick and tired of the tweets, the social gaffes, the unnecessary controversies. I've personally learned to grin and bear it... but in my social circle, I'm just seeing too many people that are expressing regrets with his performance. Apparently, they hoped he'd settle in and magically start "acting more presidential". That's a concern... to me anyway. You have to realize... those of you who are Trump fans, you rejoice at this stuff... but others are cringing... and not just those on the left. Anyway, again, I hope you're correct... because I'd like to see a few more SCOTUS appointments to slow down what I see as a "lurch" to the left in recent years.
  18. Yeah, I know... these articles are dated. Forgive me, but when I searched the topic on NJGF... no matches come up, so I figured I'd share them anyway... Since I was a kid, I've been endlessly fascinated by anything created in miniature... (dollhouses, model cars/trains/planes/ships, ivory carvings, antique salesman samples, terrariums & bottle gardens)... I just love them all! Not only because miniatures are totes adorbs(!)... but I simply appreciate that arguably there's a higher level of craftsmanship (and patience) required to build on a miniaturized scale. Sometimes the people who do this even need to design or adapt tools and techniques... and often they're working under a jeweler's loupe or other magnifying device. It just boggles my mind! Link: http://americanshootingjournal.com/size-matters-the-world-of-miniature-firearms/ Link: https://www.washingtontimes.com/multimedia/collection/its-not-size-matters-tiny-guns/ So, do any of you have miniatures in your gun collection? I know @GRIZ has some "mouse guns" - and he had one firearm that looked like it might meet the definition of "miniature" - so I'm calling him out. If any of you are willing, please share pics of your mini guns! Thanks.
  19. I don't know all the scientific mumbo-jumbo in this article... but I do know that a Super Blue Blood Moon sounds rather delightfully wicked! I like it. Here's the article which has a link to show best viewing areas. Unfortunately, we on the east coast will not get the best show... only a partial eclipse. But still, it's an unusual mix of natural phenomena - a supermoon, blue moon and lunar eclipse all happening at once: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/dont-miss-the-first-super-blue-blood-moon-since-1866/ar-BBIo6wx?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartanntp
  20. Don't you DARE disturb my slumber, boy! Payback is a bitch. I will get there... reasonably close to 9. Now, pipe down with your threats. And get back to work!
  21. Well. Enjoy the wait. I'll get there... in my own sweet time.
