  1. So i just drove to the DE cabelas since ive got a guest visiting from Australia and figured id show him some firearms and such since he was interested. Figured id pick up the Stoeger M3k i wanted. Called in and reserved the last one they had and drove in.. after waiting for the employee to manage to assemble the shotgun and waiting in line for god knows how long, i filled out the nics info and waited for them to get back to me with what i figured would be an OK. Instead, after like 45 minutes of waiting the manager finds me in the store and says that because the back of my fid isnt the same color as the front and my fingerprint is pressed rather than rolled, he cant sell me the long gun and i have to wait 3 or 4 days for him to get an OK from corporate to purchase the shotgun. I specifically took ~5 hours out of my day nevermind gas and tolls to come pick the shotty up (and so that my Aussie guest can see some cool stuff) only for the dude to send me away not for a failed nics check but because the color doesnt match and the date of issue is written not printed? What the hell is up with that? Needless to say i left my cart full of shit the way it is and walked out the store. I will take my money to Tanners (cheaper anyways) along with any other purchases. The initial guys helping me out were cool but to make me wait that long only to send me away is plain inconsiderate. My guess is NICS came back OK and the manager decided to check the paperwork, as the other employees handled it multiple times and never said anything.. absolutely furious. As if i dont have crap that needs to get done.. will be contacting corporate as well, my gas aint free.
  2. Got it. So im forced to glue the base plate on, then? Do you think it might be an issue long tern if something goes wrong or for cleaning, etc? I suppose i dont shoot enough to make a difference.
  3. Hey all. So i got blocks for my handgun mags but would like to be able to disassemble them for service, especially 226 and vp9 pricier mags compared to glock. Rather than pinning or epoxying, can i cut the springs a bit when the block is inserted? This would prevent it from being extremely difficult to insert all 10 rounds, too, would it not? Or does the spring go around the block and the block just prevents bullets from being inserted more than 10 at a time? If thats the case, obviously cutting the spring would be a no no. Blocks should arrive today so well find out i guess.. hoping to be able to disassemble em.
  4. To the top. This deal is still going on. Not sure how these triggers compare to the big boys but the trigger on my ar seems decent enough.
  5. I'm an ebay seller. Small time, like under $50k/year. My father does more than that in a month, i just do it as a side gig. I Don't think this applies for us "Smaller" sellers due to the amounts most states will require as the cutoff (IE NJ's 200k). We both already collect NJ Sales tax, naturally... that's already a PITA and i am admittedly regularly late with filing, even though we're talking about 30$ in collected NJ Sales tax most quarters.. NJ customers stay away just because the sales tax makes us more expensive than competitors, usually. If i have to collect for 12 states, i'll just sell on a personal account and not collect at all...
  6. Indeed. Plus i could grab a mag from my hg and use it in my rifle if needed or the other way around. If shtf itd be cool to have a single caliber. Plus, a bit more punch than an AR7 or whatever.
  7. Doesnt look like an sbr. 14.5" barrel with a pinned on muzzle brake (muzzle brakes are legal, flashhiders are NOT). Only thkng out there thatll look like that is the surefire warden. High exposure pointed me in that direction when i was building the larue AR i mentioned above. Ill try to upload a pic later.
  8. You can get a 10/30 magazine, itll be that size but only hold 10 rounds. Eotech sight, Surefire Warden with appropriate (matching) brake (i have one of em on one of my AR's). Some kinda flashlight.
  9. You have very different needs than most of us. I just shoot crap to relax and relieve stress. My 3 YO had an accident and proceeded to shmear crap everywhere. Haven't shot in months. Can't shoot til orientation in 10 days unless i go to R14 (bleh). Halp.
  10. Right, i figured it wont be ANOTHER AR just sitting in my safe. Lol. I need another PCC because i have a dueling tree to shoot at now, that way the competition is fair for the 2nd shooter i bring along
  11. Interesting. Ottomanellis is owed money along with a ton of suppliers and contractors. Fucked up.. someone smart will buy it and invest.
  12. Bleh $2,000!!!! No fanks Someone should make ar15 specd mags that take 9mm bullets kinda similar to mp15-22 mags. Id be all over that. I agree that they look rididiculous with glock mags or the like but tbh some of these pics are sexy. I bought the scorpion evo for that exact reason. It looks NORMAL. Sooo what should i be looking at for a GOOD ar9 as far as budget goes?
  13. Someone build me a 9mm AR plz. A tacticool one. Likely my next build. No idea where to even start with it, only know a bit about standard AR builds and even that i barely know (yay youtube). Whats a good budget for a good, quality, tacticool (IE Ambi, etc) 9mm AR? Thinking $1,000 +/- a bit? One that takes G19 mags would be awesome. I just picked up a CZ Scorpion but i think an AR9 or whatever would be cool.
  14. Sounds cool. I want one. Whats a good one run at? One that wont blow up in my face, that is?
  15. Tlr1-hls are nice. I have an x300 the old ones not the U and its nice but a bit bulkier. Also more $$ IIRC. For most people the streamlight tlr1HL will do the trick.
  16. They have many already.. Edison, Avenel, Cranbury... They have been charging sales tax for quite a while on AMAZON FULFILLED orders, not necessarily 3rd party purchases. 200k in sales isnt much, realistically, as that isnt profit, its sales. Most big sites like optics planet will likely be hitting us with sales tax; i know i ordered from magblocks and optics planet last night and both hit me with sales tax.
  17. Naa b we dun need musketz we haz militari and policay to protekt us.
  18. This isnt about 5 rounds. The mag ban overall is messed up, there shouldnt be one... noone here is saying we want 15.. i want 30! Or drum mags! Just cuz..
  19. Sure, just shoot me a text whenever. I have a few cool rifles and a wide array of steel targets including a dueling tree i just picked up. You're welcome to shoot whatever, just supply/cover ammo. Quinton also has all of the shotgun sports, i dont know how to shoot em nor do i own a 12G yet but im certainly down to try em. Will hopefully be picking up a shotgun in the next few weeks.
  20. I completely understand that. I Just hate the FUDD mentality. The whole "All of my guns have practical purposes/put food on the table/are for hunting other than competition/range/plinking" thing when you have hundreds of rifles is complete nonsense/bullshit. Have no problem with people collecting them, i think thats awesome. I Don't even have a dozen but if i could afford to i would have a hell of a lot more.
  21. If your firearms are exclusively for putting food on the table, why would you need more than a dozen or so of them? Let alone 700? Lol. Confused me with that. I mean i understand having a purpose for what you have other than 'play'.. but you cant possibky have a legitimate hunting use for 700 freakin long guns.... 10? 20? Even 30? Sure, i guess, but not 700... lol.
  22. My guess is also some sorta accidental incident.. Propane tank blowing up, Whatever.. doubtful its actual explosives, unless accidental while on the way to Philly or something like that..
  23. Quick update: I went to Fazzios (Glassboro) Today. They had the Dueling Tree, so i picked one up along with another small silhouette plate. Dueling tree was 200$ (ouch), but realistically they charge you more than that just for six 6" plates, and you get that plus the stand and all; 200$ is actually very reasonable all things considered. The only thing is the vertical piece didn't fit in the base, i guess the base wasn't welded wide enough. After some grinding with a flap disc it now fits nice and snug, and is ready to be shot at.. lol. They DID have the giant deer someone mentioned previously. $350. I took a picture but it's late so it'll get uploaded some other time. Thing is massive though and completely useless as a target IMO... but certainly a cool piece, haha. Anyhow, i'll be ordering some stands on Amazon for 50somethin bucks per setup (base and 2x4 bracket to hang target), not including the 2x4 i need to use for feet and as a vertical piece. Just not worth making my own given how long itll take to fabricate one-off stuff, nevermind that i'd spend 100$ on various materials anyways...steel 2x4, angle iron, etc.. If anyone wants to try it once i get thru Orientation just Holla! Looks pretty cool, i just need someone to shoot with at Quinton, haha.
  24. Not bad. If you ever want to try out longer distance shooting, hit me up. I have membership at Range 14 and will soon have membership at Quinton. It's probably a bit far but id be heading out from Glassboro and Quinton is down in Salem Township. Can carpool with me. They go out to 200 yards, outdoors. I'm not the best shot myself, so don't be concerned about embarrassing yourself. Odds are you're a better shot than me. I just enjoy it.. lol
