personally i like 308 but then again i really don't have availability to ranges over 600 yards and I'm not a seasoned long range shooter either. As i get more expierenced i might end up building a 6.5 C. are there any public spots nearby i can shoot out to 1000??

Still illegal but most people who want it do it. I have all my vehicles tinted for 20 years. Most officers wont bother you for it unless they stop you for something else.

Ghost connector & Taran Tactical have been offering them for a while now. i installed a Taran Tactical connector in mine. The stock trigger is so heavy although i never measured it if feels like a 8-9lb pull. the Taran brought it down to about 5 lbs with a clean break.

How do you like that blast diffuser?

Does anyone keep there gun cabinets or safes in their garage? is there enough humidity in NJ's air to damage your guns? The room that i keep mine in is a spare bedroom that was not being used because my boys were sharing a room but now the older one needs his own space so dad needs to buy a bigger house lol. in the meantime the guns need a new place to rest so i was thinking of moving them into the garage.

Welcome from Bridgewater. I started a few years ago and when the bug hit i quickly ran out of room in my safe. After my current AR build the next investment will be a much larger safe or building a gun room.

If your township is gun owner friendly i would say you will have your FID & permits within a couple weeks from today. If they are not gun friendly it can be months. Ive seen horror stories on this forum of people waiting 6-8 months before getting theirs. I live in Bridgewater and when i went through the process it was 4 weeks from start to finish. Welcome, this hobby gets addicting and VERY expensive! Have fun and be safe.

I recently bought a Gissele SSA-E used but in practically new condition for 1/2 the price of new. Just inspect it and make sure it not excessively worn , But i wouldn't worry much about it those babies can take a beating.

Looking for some opinions. I got a call today from a buddy of mine that he saw a used but practically new AR for sale and he thought i might like it. The shop is asking $799 Its a complete Bushmaster upper and lower, Match grade stainless 16" barrel 1:7, Velocity 3.5lb Trigger, A2 T3 compensator, 45 degree irons and a couple mags. shop says its practically brand new build. I'm thinking of using it as a base for a SPR You think its a good buy?
