  1. Jesus Christ man calm the fuck down for someone who is usually a very dry sense of humor on these boards you sure are me fucking dead serious. Take a fucking pill and put away the copyright infringement papers Jesus.
  2. This is correct and recently law was changed to allow this (concealed carry in restaurants/establishments with alcohol), I believe within the last 5 years or so? Perhaps Zeke didn't know the law changed in NC - I only know because I'm moving there. Correct you cannot be consuming alcohol whilst carrying a concealed weapon.

    All Glock?

I saw this in the FB comments of a Glock post yesterday to some guy coming in talking about the almighty 1911 - I have one, and still thought this was hilarious
  4. Great job Roubian, I'm on my way out but you've instilled some hope in me for who is left...
  5. Or......... We could just do away with pistol permitting system altogether, sure the process is fine for getting your Firearms ID card initially but after that, why not just do the NJSP criminal records search for $20 to give you say a 6 month window to go as many pistols as you want and then pay $15 at point of sale for NICS for each one? Since as I posted either in here or another thread, the whole "handgun permit" system in our state and the ones that still exist in other states (even in NC where I am moving, since the KKK ran the legislature in NC from those days, but since 2004 if you have a CCW you no longer need permits to purchase pistols) are literally a Jim Crow era system that was used to hinder and prevent the newly freed blacks from obtaining handguns to protect themselves. It's just evolved into a system of total control but let me tell you what, if showing government issued ID to vote is racist, you bet your ass in Trenton, Albany, etc that they might as well be lynching blacks on the lawns of the State House with an asinine system like this. And the state wonders why there is exodus in droves, for their draconian gun laws that still exist on the books with no sense whatsoever, along with all the other long list of reasons to go elsewhere. It would be one thing if you could fax or email your forms (if you have your Firearms ID already) to your permit bureau representative at the PD, but since they work worse than bankers hours (Hanlon I am applauding you in Bridgewater as you at least have one evening a week you are there till 6:30 which is fine) and you have to show up in person each time to drop off paperwork and pick up it does nothing but piss off people who's pistols are waiting in jail. My buddy in west Jersey dropped his off at the Hope Barracks and they basically laughed at him and told him if he gets his stuff back in 3 months he's lucky. Now how likely is he to go out and purchase a pistol on a whim when its so cumbersome? And therein lies my point, the system exists to control us every step of the way. And now with the data collection, good riddance.
  6. This is why, although my wife says "why are all your guns black its so boring" - I resist my FDE, urban Gray, and ODG temptation on some pistols (Cough VP9) and just go with Black - she never notices another black gun case housing a black pistol, but yes last time I went to the range and brought one home I snuck the case in my range bag
  7. You know what would be funny / screwed up is if I got 2 permits and did one retail transaction and then one as a private sale off Armslist and just mailed in the other permit and completely ignore OGAM like a week before I move out of state and change my address and drivers license. What are they going to do send me a threatening letter to my new state? Lol
  8. This is unlike Robert Hanlon and I'm not sure its anything to do with his efficiency - did you get yours yet? Our town is usually super fast, last round of permits for me was 2.5 weeks. My wife dropped her FID and P2P paperwork off on a Wednesday afternoon, on Friday her employer got the reference letter, and on Monday the references had their letters, and she got fingerprinted a week and a half after that (6 days ago now) - admittedly her last reference sent the letter back a week ago, he sat on it for a few days. So I'm curious to see how long this takes to turn around. I believe it is not our actual PD though I think its Trenton being slow in actually delivering the permits to the PD. Because I always get the call right away but they are dated at least a week prior to the day I get the call.
  9. This is 100% accurate and why NJ will never see its carry rights restored outside the home unless Alex Jones himself sucks all the demons out of the legislature in Trenton and absorbs their bloodsucking souls.

    All Glock?

It looks super sweet with the ported slide and blue trigger - With all the optic ready pistol craze I have been debating a G17 or G19 MOS pistol with my BL discount coupon this year, and take my time and eventually build it with optic as a sweet range/competition toy -

    All Glock?

Are they still making that Q5 Match pistol? I feel like I heard a ton about it and it dropped off -
  12. LOL This may be the winner. Trust me there are plenty of long arms to purchase when I move. AR's, AK's, Semi-auto 12 gauge with 8 rounds oh my! The few handguns I am holding out on purchase are solely because of mag capacity for the most part.
  13. Those are too cool! I never saw the old McQueen show but I just looked it up -
  14. Posts like these are super helpful - Just ballparking, we will go from a 1600SF cape cod to a 2500+ SF colonial or ranch, either way I can expect a minimum of 40% more square footage, for a home costing $100k less than what I am selling in NJ. And the kicker, my home built in 1952 up here, probably will get a home 10-15 years old at the max down there, considered "needs updates" by many, although we have found some nice lots on brand new construction. Our tough issue down there is finding 1+ acre to live on, a lot of the newer developments are bare and on row tracts with .25 acre lots which we are avoiding at all costs. Property taxes will go from about $9k (cheap by Jersey standards) to about $2k (on the high end depending on which suburb we end up in), utilities, trash, food, etc I expect to remain even - With those two changes alone its worth the move to me.
  15. ^ah yes - I was thinking about the 9mm version - I'd love a CZ75 in polished stainless but they are hard to come by and I don't want to buy with pinned mags before I go. I do have smaller hands so Glocks actually fit my hand better than you'd think. I'll take a look at the XDM in 45 over the weekend too -
  16. Thanks Tom! Yeah I'm a 9 and 45 guy for the most part - Great suggestions, I will have to go to HG and hold a few in hand while I mull this over - If I do like the XDM I'd wait till I move to buy it because of the larger than 15 round mags -
  17. Appears so - we actually got Nick on his team who seems equally as good! (I guess my town is Nick's area but they all work together as a firm) - We ended up getting 6 different offers and the young couple we liked actually outbid the highest offer at the last minute - No complaints!
  18. Maybe I'll bring the unused permit down as a memento then and hang it on my wall LOL - would be great story to tell my new NC friends over drinks I only asked because my town is fast, literally had my last set of permits in 2 weeks - And since I'm here till the end of June/July at the latest, was thinking why not.... Now rifles or semi-auto on the other hand, never in a million years would I buy one here and definitely waiting until my Drivers License indicates a free state-
  19. Update - we are under contract after 10 days, we had about 35 showings and an open house in a week, had multiple bids on the house which was really flattering and surprising - Tentative closing is May 31, then we have up to 60 days pro-rated leaseback from the new owners (they are coming from an apartment and young couple like us), so we can get our stuff packed, and get down to NC and get a house found and closed on - Good news is we can close in about 3 weeks down there, talking to the mortgage broker today and we got him most of the paperwork to underwrite a new loan and he said should be zero issues. So basically everything worked out how we needed it to (so far)
  20. Well our house went under contract today and tentative closing is 45 days - then we have an up to 60 day lease back from the new owners after we close (details in my other thread) Going by the PD with my wife probably by end of the week to get her FID and P2P for the Glock 42 that she won on a Kygunco giveaway (in Tiffany Blue no doubt, sitting at Steve's shop in Marlboro as we speak waiting in jail), figured I might as well get myself a permit or two as and pick something up before I go - Springfield is having a nice promotion right now with the extra mags+holsters - I have a 1911 not sure if I want another. S&W is having awesome Shield rebate and I honestly love the new texture on the 45 - after rebate its $275, ridiculous. And down south I can actually carry it. But I still really crave a VP9 for some reason. So nice to hold and points naturally. Good deals can be found too, around $500 for base version or $650 for LE. My PPQM2 9mm would love to have a brother in 45 as well, or my Sig P320 Compact in 45 would love a 9mm version. (as you can tell I don't do 40, 357Sig, 10mm, GAP, etc) - Full disclosure I am a GSSF member and I'll be getting my annual Blue Label purchase coupon around June 1 so no more Glocks (for now) - I'll wait till the move and either get a G17 Gen4, G43, or G19 MOS, or if I love shooting it, maybe my own G42 for hot summertime carry in NC.
  21. Just was remarking it's a super affordable factory option for those with the crappy plastic goalpost sight markers that come with their pistols. Not getting into debate over which is superior. Plenty of LEO use factory night sights on their duty pistols.
  22. Yep standard 3 dot made by Meprolight - http://blog.gunlink.info/2015/12/07/glock-factory-service-the-best-kept-secret-in-sights/
