While it may be a dumb question to ask - states that ate listed as constitutional carry or permitless carry - the language reads as anyone who is legally allowed to possess a firearm, may carry. I just want to confirm my understanding, in that sentence means both for residents of that state, and non residents as well? In reading through some permitless carry states language, they still do seem to also list the states in which they recognize non resident permits as well. What is the point of recognizing another states permits if ultimately anyone is able to carry, so long as they are allowed to lawfully own/possess a firearm in general? That does not mean that only those who are licensed to carry elsewhere? Will be going on a trip to VT soon and realize they are permitless and wondering how that ties with a non resident from NJ, not currently licensed to carry in NJ.

What type of muzzle devices can you have on a non AR style rifle in NJ? Say a remington 700.

While I am tempted to put the order in with PSA, may hold off. My dilemma at current moment is that I am in between moves, therefore guns are currently at gunsitters up north. I have a complete lower and stock is not yet pinned. So I cannot have the upper sent to me as at that point I'd be transporting the upper and lower to an FFL for compliancy work and would be in possession of a non compliant set up. I'd need the upper sent to an FFL to hold for me, I'd have to coordinate a day to go pick up my lower, bring it to the FFL, have all compliancy work done on upper and lower, then transport back to storage. I live in monmouth county. So not around the corner for me. Sounds like too much coordinating that idk if I have time to handle right now.

Good luck keeping the (soon to be cannabalized) upper kit to under 50 oz assembled to a polymer lower. You might be able to do it. What?

Yeah I was aware of the compliance mods needed. Is that a new rule that an FFL can't do the work without a manufacturing license? That's crazy. I'm not opposed to a 14.5 but I do want the mounted front sight and a carbine length.

Anyone vouch for the quality of the upper I pasted above?

Is there a link to any simple summary of all the exact current requirements for obtaining your CCW permit in NJ? The main threads here have become quite lengthy and I know some things have changed since the law was updated. Would like a quick reference to some type of list of exactly all the steps involved and updates. Even some of the state website I feel do not do a great job at outlining everything.

Looking for recommendations on the best kydex OWB double mag holster for Glock mags. Looking to be tight and slim in profile, but quality construction and retention is the main priority. It would be used for concealed carry, but prefer OWB for mags. The 2 brands i have experience with are either no longer in business or only make a single.

Any other facilities like Gun Sitters located elsewhere in the state? Looking a little closer to Monmouth/Ocean county if possible. Seperate question on this topic - What is it about Gun Sitters that allows it to be legal gun storage? Meaning, what differentiates storing your guns there vs at a buddys house or anywhere else that is not your place of residence? Is there some special exemption or insurance that protects you against things like theft or bding stollen out of your safe at gun sitters compared to storing somewhere else outside your home? At my regular storage unit there is a strict line in the contract that states no storing firearms.
