I saw that, but is one better than the other?

So I was looking to get a polymer-framed pistol for my first gun, was looking at the G17 or something from the XD series, but I can't get a straight answer really from anyone about the differences between the XDM and the Mod.2. People are telling me it's just a preference thing, but I'm sure there are more differences. Can anyone that has experience with these two tell me the differences or the pros and cons of the two?

I bought my Dodge Avenger used from the Loman dealership in Woodbridge and it came with super dark tint all around except the windshield. It`s been a year and I still have them on lol. Got one stop for them in that time in Newark.

Aweosme, thanks for the warm welcomes and information. Pretty set on getting a G17 Gen 4 for my first pistol. Are they pretty much going to be the same price at all the shops around here?

Hey guys, new to the board and the shooting scene in general. Still waiting on my FID and my PP, browsing stores and ranges at the time and getting hyped up. Any recommendations for shops or ranges? I'm from Colonia specifically but don't mind driving a good distance for quality and good service.
