of course it is, some people just like to hate The truth is, there really isn't much value is the added cost of many rifles that are 'superior' to them. Colt's socom barrels are getting a ridiculous reputation for accuracy besting even Noveske in testing. Colt has served on every continent and in every war we've been in like Timex, they just work. Molon on ar15.com has been documenting testing for several years in accuracy, barrel life etc. Even Hendersons' out in Vegas has a list of line guns and one colt had 150k (conservative by his estimates) with only 2 bolts and one trigger spring needing replacement. Having owned DD, LWRC, you name, I'll stick to my Colt Socom models and the various other ponies out there

agree with your line of thinking but forget the ACT, buy the La Rue 2 stage I posted for $99 and you've got a nice rifle for 5-600.

As you know, Colt only makes limited runs of these and according to Colt rep, the most recent batch of 250 was sent out. Before that, it was January and only 200.
