  1. Be like water...

  2. Did that yesterday but the Detective and went home for the day...but did find out that he works until 7pm next week, so I will stop by there next week to talk to him and find out where the hold up is in processing my paperwork.
  3. Well, at least now i know...and I did stop by the PD on the way home. The Detective leaves at 3pm. Just stopped into Cheyenne Mountain and got to hold my new gun...XDM 9 compact...sure felt nice in my hand! Can't wait to do some shooting and then start my training. Think i am going to join Range 14 out at Dix. Looks like a really nice setup. Thank for the warm welcomes
  4. Hi to All... New member here, I am getting old and decided to finally learn how to handle guns...do some training and have some all around fun. Submitted my paperwork at the beginning of June and called the PD six weeks later to inquire about the permit and ID. Was told 4 weeks ago that the paperwork was in and everything looked great and would have my permit/FID by the next week. The week goes by and nothing...call the following Monday and again was told that the paperwork would be ready by the end of the week. The week comes and goes and still no call. So i call yesterday morning and no answer. So i leave a message stating that I was calling to see if the paperwork was completed. No return phone call yesterday afternoon and nothing as of yet today. I realize i am new to this whole firearms thing but 4 weeks to type up some paperwork and get the chief to sign it? Is this common? Besides that...I hope to meet some new friends and do a little shooting...I hope. Bob
