  1. ^ I like your analogy and thought about it for a moment, I guess the difference for me is we have a right to bear arms and not a right to go swimming. Never the less though, good point.
  2. Here's an idea ... can you find a local Echo dealer that has the appropriate charger? Maybe they will let you stop in for a quick fix?
  3. ... and a third for the Alien Gear. Not a 1911 user here but super comfy with my M&P Standard and Glock 26.
  4. Saw this story this morning too, as it's locally relevant. I don't think it's possible for the jet to have crashed in the area they reference w/o any civilians noticing. Maybe it flew out over the ocean? Either way, wouldn't ATC have had it on radar? The military does not track their own aircraft? Doesn't make any sense ... maybe a UFO took it?

    LEE

The NHC shows it staying below 137 knots. https://www.cyclocane.com/lee-storm-tracker/

    LEE

I've been keeping an eye on this the past couple of days too. My expectation is it turns north. https://www.cyclocane.com/lee-storm-tracker/
  7. The obvious solution here is that NJ needs to institute a "firing permit" making it illegal to press the trigger w/o first obtaining a NJ Permit to Fire. Then they will know with certainty who fired every shot. They can use the existing P2P process - background check, references, and a fee. We need more "common sense" gun laws, right?
  8. The example you gave has nothing to do with that, the shooters actions were to stop something else. I believe that would be considered deadly force in ALL places.
  9. I thought this post was going to be about Jim Scoutten https://www.firearmsnews.com/editorial/jim-scoutten-passing/478513
  10. I tend to ignore forecasts and instead monitor the radar. You can still have storms pop up, but it's been the most accurate way for me to get an idea of what's going to happen in the next 30 mins or so.
  11. The Second Amendment: So there are 2 distinct groups called out here (the comma matters): A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms The training laws/rules in question have nothing to do with group 1, they are all about group 2 as they pertain to what requirements "the people" have to adhere to in order to bear arms. This has nothing to do with militias. Then the final clause comes in: "shall not be infringed". For our purposes in discussing the NJ CWP requirements: "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" is all that matters.
  12. I would not say that a specific holster will prevent an UID - it's only just one factor to help minimize the risk of an UID.
  13. That's not at all what I got out of the video. Which is specifically what they recommended against in the video.
  14. Similar story, got it in 2006 for Howard, now i can't stand him. I no longer listen to traditional broadcast radio. I find Sirius great for tons of music with no commercials, comedy radio on road trips, and sports. I mostly listen to the ESPN college radio channel since I dumped pro sports.
  15. IIRC, the "old" law didn't specify open vs concealed, it was simply a carry permit. I believe that has now changed with the new law and only concealed is permitted.
  16. ... and that's problem #2: the majority believes you shouldn't even have those rights.
  17. Ahhh ... and therein lies the problem. Unfortunately that "US" is not you, it's all your NJ neighbors who voted for Obama, Hillary, Biden, Murphy ...
  18. That's not how it works, it must be brought to them. Generally there has to be an action/case brought by some party, and there are very specific circumstances whereby something can just go direct to SCOTUS (original jurisdiction). But either way, it needs to be initiated outside SCOTUS, they will never act "on their own". https://www.uscourts.gov/about-federal-courts/educational-resources/about-educational-outreach/activity-resources/supreme-1
