  1. ^ This, and welcome! The reason why a full size is a better choice if you will not be concealed carry is basically two-fold: 1. sight radius: the longer the distance between the front sight and rear sight correlates to easier to aim 2. recoil handling: a heavier firearm absorbs recoil better than a lighter firearm Just like everything else, there are trade-offs in choosing the size, but at the end of the day choose a quality firearm that makes sense for you and shoots well for you, and practice!
  2. G26 is my EDC and a retired federal LEO friend carries a G27. Think about your reason for wanting it. There's not enough difference between the G17 and G19 that it matters for you.
  3. Hi @JC_68Westy - I don't like to post bad info, specifically what is not true? I took the info from the uscca link.
  4. https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/resources/ccw_reciprocity_map/va-gun-laws/#recRestricted You basically have to travel south/west past PA and MD to get to a state where it's accepted (or VT, NH, ME), and a few will only accept the resident permit (SC, FL, MI, WI, CO).
  5. As everyone else said, if you can't actually shoot it make sure it at least feels good in your hands. When handling it and dry firing in the store, remember to treat it as if it were loaded and make sure you are not pointing it at anyone - always in a safe direction.
  6. Word on the street is this is the vehicle they will be assigning to the social worker patrols.
  7. Welcome! I grew up in Sayreville in the 1970's. For range, I was a member of Old Bridge Rifle and Pistol Club before I moved out of NJ. For physical store, I liked Howell Gun Works. Online stores: Brownells, Palmetto State Armory, Optics Planet, and Primary Arms have served me well.
  8. I saw the thread title on the home page forum banner showing as "I was on the Pork Roll For..." so I thought the thread was going to be: "I was on the Pork Roll For A Month Diet". Disappointed to say the least.
  9. If anyone should be outraged by what goes on in the NJGFs, they need look no further than this thread!
  10. Yes, the shorter "pits" towards the left half of the range are for pistol. Look at the satellite view.

  12. The Honda EU2200i definitely looks like a quality product, but for the same price I can get a 7000w Ryobi RY907022FI (CR recommended), which I assume will be noisier. Why would that be a bad idea?
  13. Funny this thread came up, my wife literally just said to me 30 minutes ago: "before hurricane season starts we need to get a generator." Since we are still renting I guess it makes the most sense to get a portable - we're not paying for any upgrades or changes to the house electrical system. What do you guys recommend? Brands? I know we want to power the refrigerator, some lamps, a fan or two. Should I just use something like this to figure out the wattage we need? We then put it outside and run some extension cords into the house? Am I missing anything?
  14. This is exactly why they have no credibility. At this point, the protestors have no credibility either. They made their point. Now it is just stoking further violence.
  15. @Danno which do you prefer?
  16. Sounds like I should find something new stock and then customize the wheels and lift. Thanks everyone for your input.
