  1. I have been a member there for over a year and this has never been my experience, and in fact I just renewed my membership for another year. Everyone from the owner, range officers, professional, and clerical staff have always been very friendly and helpful.
  2. I was hoping to join as well but have a work function this evening. If I get out before 7:30 I will stop by.
  3. http://www.tacticaltrainingcenternj.com/
  4. Just ordered these for my M&P from OpticsPlanet, $85 shipped with a 5% discount code MGNG5.
  5. Basically like a very nice golf course, but for firearms!
  6. What are the specs? I am looking for a low profile gas block and mlok/free float hand guard.
  7. Does anyone even sell NJ compliant complete uppers? Can I get one with a non-compliant muzzle device and just throw a thread protector on there (until I either move or get something pinned)?
  8. Thinking this through a little more, you would really need to find a place to train/practice on a moving target. Just going to a match and shooting at moving targets on a few stages is not really going to give you enough repetition.
  9. Yes, at the 40 yard line. There are two targets that can move laterally across the full width of the range. Haven't seen it in action recently though.
  10. ... and as far as the topic of what you do/learn in competition versus what you do in real world self defense, check out the "worlds collide" series by Springfield Armory. Although I know there's not a lot of love for Pincus, it's an interesting discussion: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChv70SaOzaV1e66Plytl50g What you learn in competition doesn't exactly apply towards defending yourself.
  11. In addition to the steel matches, check out the USPSA matches at Old Bridge. Every match I have shot in so far has had moving targets on some of the stages. Fourth Sunday of every month and they alternate months between USPSA handgun and 3-gun. Check the calendar and come see a match. http://www.obrpc.org/ After you've seen a match, come shoot one! We highly encourage new shooters and everyone is very helpful. It's really not that hard, you will not be fast but you can be accurate.
  12. Never noticed this before, now I am going to have to go take a ride ...
  13. ... and if it's not too far a ride for you Tanners has Federal 115 grain 9mm for $179.80 per 1000 case, came out to $190.59 with tax.
  14. Yes, Wayne is there very often (most times I've been) and he's very friendly and "hands-on". I think they might have that posted on the way out of the range room. I've actually made it out and on the road and have had them call me! If you're on FaceBook, follow them there as they keep that very up to date and announce the womens get togethers there.
  15. I think they would be happy to have that, there's usually a stack of the latest ANJRPC pub out on the front desk.
  16. Dang! I happen to have 2 BB rifles and a BB pistol that I would love to get rid of and walk away with $320 ...
  17. I'm just planning to leave the state!
