  1. Seconded. Taurus does not get enough love. I have the 605. https://www.taurususa.com/revolvers/all-taurus-revolvers
  2. I'll argue instead, the greater chance it gets harder to shoot down. They're busy fixing all the dumb mistakes that everyone's pointed out, that would have otherwise made it a slam dunk to kill.
  3. When the highest level Democrat government official in NJ says understanding the US Constitution is above his pay grade, it's no wonder this disregard becomes a free pass for all those beneath him.
  4. This could be true. It's on his desk, and once the references come back, he will sign.
  5. You're confusing post offices (mailing address) with municipality (who's your local government). For example, there are people that live in Montgomery Twp (Somerset) that have Princeton mailing addresses. Who do you pay taxes to?
  6. ... but that's not how SCOTUS works. Generally there has to be an action/case brought by some party, and there are very specific circumstances whereby something can just go direct to SCOTUS (original jurisdiction). But either way, it needs to be initiated outside SCOTUS, they will never act "on their own". https://www.uscourts.gov/about-federal-courts/educational-resources/about-educational-outreach/activity-resources/supreme-1
  7. Ding ding ding. The majority of the residents of my former state LOVE what's going on there. Mask mandates, anti-2A laws, public school indoctrinations ... they can't get enough.
  8. Wrong forum, see https://www.njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/forum/187-concealed-carry/
  9. No kidding. I don't think I've seen this discussed yet ... https://www.foxnews.com/us/fbi-undercounts-number-times-armed-citizens-thwarted-active-shooting-incidents-report
  10. You never really know. Plans and circumstance change. That's why I find this plus this incredibly convenient. I never leave it in there over night. During the day, unless I am going to be out of my vehicle for an extended period and it's out of my sight, I don't necessarily place it in additional locked storage in the car. In this case it's hidden out of view and my car is parked in a safe pace and locked, extremely low risk of a break-in. Of course, YMMV. FWIW, in South Carolina everyone who is of age is allowed to "carry" a handgun in their vehicle, no permit required. "Without a permit the firearm must be secured in a closed glove compartment, closed console, closed trunk, or in a closed container secured by an integral fastener and transported in the luggage compartment." I can only imagine the number of handguns out there floating around in cars.
  11. Do you pick and choose when to wear your seatbelt? That said, I essentially never leave home without it (lone exception is walking the dog around my block but I should probably have it then too - I at least always carry pepper spray with me). If I am going somewhere I am prohibited from carrying, i just leave it in the car.
  12. "Concurrently" means "at the same time" so that would still be 30 days total.
  13. I hear you, but I think that's why the term "reciprocity" is important. There's nothing at all reciprocal with NJ. Now if NJ agreed to accept everyone else's, I think SC and other states would reciprocate (as SC has with just about everyone else).
  14. I think that's squarely because of this: https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/resources/ccw_reciprocity_map/nj-gun-laws/#recStates

  17. @10X was spot on with his response here. FWIW, this is my least favorite. Tender? Yes, but practically no flavor (because there's very little fat). My preferences in order of flavor are skirt steak, hangar, rib eye, beef ribs, brisket (the point not the flat). A temp of 140 is quite beyond rare, I think you want 120 to 125. What you might want to try is a "reverse" method where you sear it last. If you use a sous vide method, you can easily get it to 120/125 with zero risk of going over, and then give it a quick sear in a very hot cast iron pan. Many of the fancy restaurants are doing it this way these days. Yup, the links I provided above explain why.
  18. Guys the purpose of this thread is to express one's experience in applying for a carry permit, let's try to stick to the topic please.
  19. No worries, that's why I said "too early to tell". With the present models it won't even be in Florida until Wednesday. From my experience a lot can change from the initial models, it already has. Ever since moving to CHS in 2018 I watch hurricane season like a hawk.
