You bought a bushmaster 13 years ago and you never shot it and again you’re questioning if you could sell it and buy another one when you have a New Jersey makes no no damn sense just keep the rifle you have. Shoot your rifle take it to the range and find out you know what you need for the rifle and run with it. New Jersey complaint rifles are alot better than a New York state or California state compliant rifle all you’re really missing is a bayonet lug, flash suppressor and collapse stock but you can always change those parts out easily once you get out of NJ. I say shoot your rifle find out what you need and if you do move out of New Jersey all you Gotta do is just get the barrel threaded for a flash suppressor and change the buffer tube and stock out. (Plus get standard capacity magazines once you are moved out of NJ)

I believe it is, one of the most prominent NY gun lawyers have made an announcement about this, the FFL in question has actually been raided and made a statement to retain a lawyer, and the manufacturer of the non nfa other in question made a statement to stand with owners.

This has been shared like crazy on Reddit and other social media accounts today. Here is the original link To summarized what happened; this individual bought a non-nfa other firearm, specifically a delta level defense other from a gun shop in New York State called Jerry’s gun and supply and the Suffolk County Police Department raids the gun shop and is now sending out letters to confiscate non-nfa other firearms. I think it’s something to watch for, New Jersey always seems to follow New York and vice versa.

2020 was when I got my first job coming out of college, so like any young and single guy who is into guns I splurged a little of my paycheck on some firearms and ammo. Also, I do split my ammo purchases up with friends and family that I go to the range with frequently so not only that I am good on ammo, but the people in my life that goes to the range with me are also good on ammo.

If you are gonna sell the guns, you still would have to transfer them. You can always sell them here on the gun forum.

NYC is where gun rights go to die. $500 initial fees, 1 year long background check where the whole household, employer, and references need to write why you are okay to own a gun, registration of all firearms on top of NY handgun registration, 5 round magazines for rifles and 10 round magazines for handguns, home visits if you got more than 5 handguns, and 200 round ammo limits without owning a special permit to own more. And of course no ccw for you in NYC unless you are a celebrity (Howard Steward and President Trump actually got NYC carry permits) You do not have a second amendment right in NYC, it even says it in the permitting process that NYPD can take them at any time. Can’t you move to like Jersey City or Hoboken or even the neighboring counties in NY to be close to the city?
