  1. I'd look into Ocean Armory. Mike is a great guy, he'll treat you well. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
  2. That's usually how you do it. That's what I did for my first time. Now I do it myself [emoji14] Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
  3. If you buy an upper that has a 14.5" barrel pinned to 16" that uses a muzzle break and not a flash hider, that's NJ legal. Otherwise, you can still buy any upper and have a gunsmith install the muzzle brake onto it before you put it on a lower. To answer your other question, you can't just put a thread protector on an upper unless you can put it on a lower that has a fixed stock and somehow does not have a pistol grip. With that being said, if you had a thumbhole stock, like the Hera CQR stock, you don't even need to affix the muzzle brake permanently. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
  4. The only smith I know down there is Cheyenne Gunsmith and Firearms in Manville, and he charges only around $40 to pin and weld a muzzle device. In regards to your question about threads for your barrel and device, as long as what you've got it an AR barrel, and a muzzle device for 5.56/223, 99.99% of the time they are both 1/2x28 threads. That's just the standard. For any different calibers, the manufacturer will almost always list the thread type on their product page. If they don't, and it's a .22 caliber bore, it's probably 1/2x28 anyways. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  5. Can't go wrong with Anderson uppers. The sport upper is simple and light, does away with a forward assist and ejection port cover, while also being $40 god damn dollars on AIM surplus with no additional parts needed for assembly. Abner Miranda, an "AR snob", on YouTube, has great reviews on these uppers, but they also make an upper that takes a parts kit. Again, Anderson stuff just works, and mostly beats out other competition in terms of pricing. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  6. I wonder if they will even sell it to me like they did last time, claiming "you can't buy pistol ammo because you're under 21" Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
