Did you try any triggers prior to settling on the Overwatch?

Overwatch was the only after market trigger I have tried. I originally tried on someone else’s Glock. I was pretty happy with my stock trigger in my g19. And almost went stock in the G34.  But took a chance on the OV and now I want it in my 19 and all future glocks lol

Heard Apex are good too, but no personal experience with them

I don't own one.  Have only shot one once or twice (couldn't tell you which model).

But as they are probably the most widely owned pistol in existence it probably woudn't be a bad idea to have at least one in my collection.

So if I were to purchase a Glock in 9mm which one would I want to be looking at?  Conceal carry isn't a consderation.  This would strictly be a SHTF weapon as it is the most widely owned owned pistol and it just makes sense to own at least one.

    Welcome to the family :good:

Seriously... I need a test for dementia!   I think I did try your Beretta. The  PX4 is a fairly compact model, right?

Is it just me? I just find that after awhile... the things I've tried are just blending together. I can no longer remember what I tried... who I borrowed it from... or whether I liked it or not! Seriously, I'm now worried about myself....

Go ahead, laugh. But from now on, I'm going to whip out my phone, take a picture of whatever I rent or borrow, and send the picture as a text attachment with notes on whether I liked it or not. I have to start compiling some kind of mini-database. there's so many different guns... I'm sorry, but it's rather dizzying!

Lol, no... it’s a full size. I can bring it if you would like.

I'm particularly interested in trying out any Beretta handguns - just because I've had the least exposure to that brand, but over the last couple of years, I've noticed they seem to generate an uber-loyal level of fandom - so they must be really nice!

Haven’t you tried my Beretta PX4 full stainless?

.. but if she does like to shoot - @Zeke, @Greenday - then she's commandeering the weaponry - like a bitch - and spending too much on ammo.

Yeah, that’s pretty accurate... gotta go now, my lower  parts group just arrived for my new G34 build :D

    LIAR!!!! Again I say: LIAR!!!

@Mrs.Zeke ? --- you might want to take care of this problem - this egregious spread of "fake news" to the deficit of your own reputation. Scandalous!

It’s ok @Mrs. Peel the fact that @Zeke is trash talking means he’s nervous, and that’s how I prefer it :D

LOL! I am pretty sure I'm the shooter in this thread! :p Forgive me, Malice, I was not quick enough on the draw... I was out today but planned to sit down this evening and write a proper "thank you" thread.... first.. thanking you - @Malice4you- for a wonderful day at the Clinton WMA rifle range! I played hooky from work for about 3.5 hours on Friday and it was well worth it. What a blast! (BTW, all... Malice, unlike his scary name, has a very calm, instructional demeanor - I think he should get an instructor's cert. Seriously! He was that good).

I also wanted to mention that in the last few weeks, I also enjoyed rifle loans from @BobAand his fiancée, Karen, @Scorpio64, @Zeke & @Mrs.Zeke, @High Exposure... (oops, does it limit the amount of names I can list?) because "Griz" and "RecessedFilter" should be in there too! I really wish some of the people that trash talk about "gun nuts" would meet some of the lovely, generous people that I have over the last couple of years! (And frankly, I've selfishly learned to accept people's generous offers to try firearms - selfishly, it's really saving me a bundle on rentals!)

And I'm really glad Malice wrote this up --- because that's a higher level of knowledge and detail than I could have come up with. He nailed all the issues. It's also funny because I was already online (gunsamerica, gunbroker, etc.) trying to get ideas... and I stumbled across that CZ 455 and was already wondering about it (it's a "switch-barrel" rifle that comes with a barrel in .22lr and another barrel in .17hmr). Who would have thunk it? Clever! There's also the Sako Quad (4 barrels and an easier switching mechanism, but def'ly out of my budget at 1000s). So, if anyone has a first-hand opinion of the CZ 455, I'd love to hear it. And yes, so far, in rifles I've tried semi-autos, lever action and bolt action... and I am DEFINITELY gravitating towards a bolt action rifle... (what was that sound?... I think it was some of my AR-15 friends stifling a sob... sorry, guys!)

“You only need one rifle” said NO ONE EVER :good:

I don’t mind a fixed front sight, I hate a fixed rear iron if I’m running a RDS.

ETA: GGG MAD is ask an excellent low profile option for a rear BUIS. But if I was getting a set - Troy all the way.

What does GGG MAD stand for?
