  1. Correction...EVERY GUN OWNER.....is a threat to them and their utopian wet dream. They need the rifles out of the hands of riflemen pure and simple.... They consider us the enemy and part of "the problem"...make no mistake about it. Your a zealot, your a potential terrorist...your an agitator.... look at rh er words they use I'm the media specifically to describe us
  2. It seems that way and there is probably more to the story - Accidents due happen and ruining someones life over it makes no sense over a mistake - HOWEVER - 'OOOPS' defense generally doesn't apply to civis as far as I have seen. I am glad however that the injured party is not making a - no pun intended - federal case of it. But surely the agent needs additional training....no?
  3. Retired.....to boot. John 15:13
  4. There are more problems than that...lol...but yeah I get it.
  5. Hiking.....s&w model 19 4 inch in 357 iwb with FMJ rounds at 3oclock with two additional speed loaders in my pocket Out and about...... s&w model 19 357 snub nickel bobbed hammer DAO with hollow points two additional reloads IWB at 3 to 4 o'clock Or, HP, 1911, 4516, even a bobbed 38spc airweight in my pocket only. I rarely carry OWB.... except when at home doing yard work and then it's an m&p in 45acp with ball ammo...not the best choice against bear but it is what it is. I also like the firearm under my arm I feel it helps me conceal it better...ymmv. All my holsters are generally cross breed manufacture..... comfy and solid carry even for the heavy 1911 and 4516. Alien gear while cheaper is a knock off of the original cross breed as I recall. You will need clothes one size larger.....I am nominally a 34 waist at 59 175.... I am most comfy with a 35 waist in shorts or jeans while carrying. I like a Hanks belt ...... I also always carry some sort of edged steel. To echo @High Exposure a karambit is a devastating weapon when applied as designed...even if you are not trained application is kinda instinctive, it afforded deep and I mean deep lacerations to sever tendons and muscle with minimal effort, especially when used at the joints. The issue is that it has to my opinion, no other practical use other than as an offensive defensive weapon.... for utility I like a mini ruuku. Lastly if I am out and want to imbibe, gun stays home but I will have the karambit, metal based pen like a hinderer etc.... Oh...and to add you will be paranoid people are looking at you....it will seem wierd to exercise your rights in this manner. It will become second nature....just be smart about it. And all the gear aside..... get your mind right, the odds are you will not, but you may someday need to draw that weapon for self defense...are you prepared to do that both mentally and physically. And confident enough in your firearm and handling of it that you can put rounds on target as needed. Also do not disregard simplistic administrative handling OF said firearm either.... no ND's.... that normally happen during admin handling.
  6. I've been saying get out for the past 5 years.... my NJ sunset is closer each day.... I LOVE Sussex co . My neighborhood, my home, my property some of my neighbors, I HATE LOATHE CANT STAND NJ.....

  8. Legality aside. What are the odds of another 03 sending a firearms TO NJ...even if another 03 holder. Some wont send items to an 01 OR 07....let alone an 03. Me thinks it's all folly ..... BUT hopefully it pans out.
  9. For # 1 - Does a retired out of state LEO who never was sworn in NJ - require a permit to carry in NJ? If not why then does NJ require retired sworn NJ LEO's to have a permit? For # 3 under LEOSA - given the new ten round limit - along with the LEO exemption - that is currently written - does this apply to retired NJ sworn officers and also to out of state sworn, but residing in NJ officers not sworn in NJ? Thanks for all the clarifications........
  10. Someone I know is in a debate with a retired NYPD LEO that resides in NJ. I have been asked a series of questions that I *think* I know the answer too, but I am not sure. Frankly, I do not want any part of the debate and I am avoiding getting involved, but now my curiosity is peaked and you dont kmow what you dont know - so I am trying to educate myself. 1) Can a retired NYPD officer residing in NJ full time carry a firearm? LEOSA would seem to cover this, and I know there should be no state preemption of the law, but I do see that a permit is needed and I thought I read that this applies to NJ retired officers only. 2) Can an active duty NYPD officer carry in NJ while visiting family in state? Again LEOSA should cover this. Now come the kicker questions. 3) Can a retired LEO of any jurisdiction ignore this states AWB laws? I do not think they can. 4) Can an active duty LEO of any jurisdiction own their own personal AWB type rifle with all the evil features? Would they also be able to use said rifle in the course of their duties? Again I do not think they can unless authorized by their department and frankly if the department has AWB type weapons they are issued from the armory I would think. So what do those in the know say that are active and retired....
  11. @Old School If you do this you have nothing to fear, your goods will remain yours.... frankie is NOT that kinda guy.
  12. Please dont forget the colt match target... But it was listed on the fed ban list being proposed.....as well as the m1a
  13. What u see is a guy who knows how to fight with an ar, seeing the ban hammer coming shortly and wants to be ready.
  14. Back then...not many... today is much different than then. The net has brought more together....
  15. ....resist..... resist in a smart way. I do not disagree with this....but till it is argued settled..you wanna be the test subject
  16. I dont disagree with what you have witnessed...I disagree somewhat with the balance of your assessment I hope I am dead wrong !!! The person who, if someone gets jammed up, is fantasy thinking about unenforcement - I am sure we can find some sort of precedent to dispel that myth cant we? Their job is to enforce the law, I am sure there is discretion , however that which is is applied is not known. We only know those who got jammed up..... and yes the silly unconstitutional unenforceable regulations, guess what.....were applied For me...and me alone...YMMV..... it is not worth the risk to do anything other than to have 10 round mags in state at this time. Whatever money you need to spend...imo....is money well spent to prevent your potential incarceration ..... Whatever money you need to spend to love your current items out of state, is money well spent to prevent your potential incarceration......
  17. ...hmmm..... not YET..... that I am aware of..... It will be an interesting test case for the poor SOB who may get collared..... I hope he doesn't use the I read it on the internet defense.
  18. Just because they do it.....doesnt mean its legal or will pass scrutiny. I know of a reputable dealer that jb welded a few muzzle brakes on.... Ymmv
  19. It will be a zero feature law...save your money for now..... Sheesh
