Hey Lambo - did you get around to attaching the magblock? How did it go?

Most of the ccws in this state are retired leo's prosecutors and judges, sprinkle in a few political favors and thats it. Do I know for sure? no but if I was a betting man, i would feel comfortable in those odds. IS it right no? but in Nj its reality. No to sound cliche but this is an absolute case of elections having consequences. I Do agree from what Ive seen, There should be a minimum basic safety course for ccw issuance. Not because I'm anti ccw or saying people are dumb, but I've seen alot of dumb things happen.
Just think about it - doctors are just as exposed, if not more, than most individuals who are deprived of CCW in this state. To begin with, doctors treat *anybody* regardless of status in life - that includes criminals, illegals, drug dealers, the criminally insane, mental patients, gang members. Not to mention family/fellow gang members who are equally violent.
This, on top of doctors' photos, telephone numbers, clinic/appointment hours being very well plastered over the internet and elsewhere. kind of makes them very easy to case, stalk and therefore an easy target.

..and going back to the original topic, I'm guessing no chance to get approved for a CCW for doctors even with a demonstrable, justifiable need?

cap- would this mean everybody gets to carry, but wouldn't that make it even easier for criminals to get *and carry* firearms?
not trolling, but curious.

Griz - not exactly being stalked for drugs per se, but rather retribution for not giving the more-than-normal quantity of prescription drugs they ask for (among other things these clowns get mad at their doctor for)..

Any doctors lurking in this forum? I'm curious if anybody's been successful in applying and getting a CCW approved with the reason that a doctor deny certain patients who are obviously drug-seeking/drug-dependent/violent. (e.g. they could be hanging in the parking lot, or stalk).
EDIT:
deny *medication*

Any recommendation as to who/what store can best help me put this together?

Wanted to find out if anybody else has tried this product? I bought one, and I could only load 9 after blocking a 15-rd mag.

Thank you, I had to lookup what a 10/30 magazine is- now I know!

Magpul CTS Stock
Magpul ASP sling plate
Magpul MIAD grip with trigger guard
Magpul BAD lever
Magpul XTM Rail covers
KNS anti-rotation pins (not sure which generation)
Troy BUIS
B.A.D. ASS safety
Troy drop in rail 7”
Tangodown Stubby VFG
EOTech 511 optic (they don’t make it anymore)
Noveske Flaming Pig muzzle device
Can’t tell what make the light is
Pretty sure this is an SBR so you can’t make an exact copy, but you can get close.
The stock will have to be pinned and I’m not sure if that muzzle break is good in N.J. You’d also have to shave or remove the bayo lug.
Thanks!Impressive.
Looks like muzzle brake is no good in NJ- and the SBR nature of the rifle as well (I just googled)..

Hello,
I'm looking to replicate a rifle I missed to buy, the only thing I have is this photo and I was wondering if anybody can help me identify what the accessories are, and what rifle this is exactly.
Also, would any of these firearm parts be illegal in NJ? I'm guessing the magazine?
Thank you!

59 minutes ago, JohnnyB said:Why are you getting rid of your mags now? There may well be an injunction in the coming days and SCOTUS is looking great for us! Keep what you can as long as you can!
I spoke with a local gun dealer who told me a crazy number of people in the PRNJ are selling off their guns because they are afraid of what Trenton will ban next. I for one am not willing to give up my magazines, my guns or my Constitutional rights that easily!
Ok, but I really would like to go out and shoot and I don't have the 10-rd mags yet. I'm with you on our right to bear arms.
Now that we're on the topic of 10-rd magazines, will this something that will fit my Glock-19 gen5? :

1. Only FFLs can ship handguns USPS.
2. You can ship any of your guns to YOURSELF in the US. You can't ship handguns USPS.
3. You can ship a gun to a FFL, manufacturer, or licensed gunsmith in any state.
The problem with #2 is although the law allows you to ship handguns to yourself UPS and FEDEX won't let you as far as i know. Some say just declare it as machine parts. Problem with that is there is a law requiring you to declare a firearm to a common carrier.
Thanks! So they were right about it all along?
And thanks to everybody who chimed in, a little bit more confident to ship these mags out(for now), unfortunate as the situation may be.

I'm worried about my local post office - the last time I inquired to send my shotgun down to my cousin in FL they weren't sure what to do, they checked their documents and told me it's OK for me to send it via USPS as long as its unloaded.
I researched it later finding out that only FFLs are allowed to ship firearms to another state. So that's why I'm hesitant to send these 15-round magazines via post office.

11 minutes ago, GRIZ said:Yes, can't see any problem unless they live in a state with less than 15.
Magazines are parts. No restriction with USPS.
Ok, thank you!

3 hours ago, Krdshrk said:Unfortunately, the 10 round magazine law is in effect, and that means if you have magazines of higher than 10 round capacity, then they can legally keep them.
We're still in the "grace period" where lawful NJ Gun owners are supposed to get rid of their "high capacity" magazines... The ANJRPC has a lawsuit against the new law, but until we get a verdict about it, we are still affected by the law. I personally have had to purchase 10-round magazines for my guns to use them (legally) at public ranges.
Can I ship out my 15-round magazine to another person in another state to sort of "hold" it for me?
Is this something I can ship via USPS?

I do, in fact, that's primarily the reason for me jumping over to the Linux side of things (from Windows). I used to run this Internet cafe/gaming shop and got tired of having my WinGate (!) gateway getting DoS'd all the time. Hence the jump to Linux.
In those times, the built-in ipchains program helped me configure the Linux gateway/firewall as my main route to the Internet. Since then, ipchains has been renamed to iptables, and most recently that has been replaced by 'firewalld' (at least on Fedora, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and it's clones like the CentOS).
It is very tedious, however, you are able to fine-tune your firewall rulesets to your liking, with basics such as port blocking, allowing/blocking IP addresses to go in/out your local area network, specifying protocols to allow/block and doing NAT for your hosts sitting behind your Linux firewall.
Old PCs are always a good way to practice Linux on, just make sure you set it up without the complete GUI and just have the fundamentals installed. By default, iptables/firewalld should be available on newer versions of Fedora/RHEL/CentOS. I'm not well-versed in Ubuntu but I would imagine they'd still have iptables by default.

As always, Google is your friend (also feel free to ask here).
What exactly did you need help with regarding LAMP?
