  1. This is the issue I mentioned the other day. Democrats are introducing all types of Anti-2A Bills, in hoping some will stick. I believe the 2A community needs to be PROACTIVE and put pressure on these co-sponsors of these Bills BEFORE they even come up for a vote. Once the vote is taken, it's rarely reversed. Once it's signed into law, well, you know what happens then, it NEVER gets repealed. Some sort of legal pressure needs to be put on these unconstitutional bill writing politicians, to make them think twice before even submitting a new Anti 2A bill for consideration. Harrisburg, PA –-(Ammoland.com)- A new bill introduced in Pennsylvania would establish a gun registry within the state. HB0768 is known as the Firearms Registration Act. The Democrats that introduced the bill were Mary Louise Isaacson (D), Angel Cruz (D), and Mary Jo Daley (D). Last Friday, the General Assembly referred the bill to the committee on judiciary. The bill would require gun owners in the Keystone State to register their firearms with the Pennsylvania State Police. Owners would have to provide the police with the make, model, and the serial numbers of all their guns. Along with the application that the gun owner must swear to under oath, the gun owner would have to submit fingerprints, two photographs that are no older than 30 days and go through a background check for each firearm that they own. This background check is the same one that they must go through to purchase a gun. In addition to this requirement, they must also provide the Pennsylvania State Police with their home and work address, telephone number, social security number, date of birth, age, sex, and citizenship. This requirement is more information than a person needs to vote. If the State Police rejects the person's application, then they will have ten days to appeal the decision. The owner must turn their firearms into the State Police within three days of receiving notification of the rejection. If a person does not appeal the decision within ten days, their right is forfeit. A gun owner cannot transfer any unregistered firearm. Anyone caught with an unregistered gun is guilty of a crime even if they are unaware of the firearm registration status. Also just holding an unregistered firearm at a range is a crime. The gun owner has 48 hours to update the State Police if they change jobs, phone numbers, addresses, or anything else on the application. If they do not update the State Police, then they could be prosecuted for violating the law. The certificate which will cost $10 per firearm will expire after one year. The gun owner would have to start the process over again to renew their certification. This process must be done 60 days before the certificate expires. https://www.ammoland.com/2019/03/firearms-registration-act-introduced-in-pennsylvania/#ixzz5i3Cniik2
  2. Murphy already took care of that part when they extended the paid Family Leave Act up to 12 weeks.
  3. Yep, it's PAST time for Republicans to use the Dems tactics against them, instead of being used as floor mats, like they usually are.
  4. Are people getting use to these type of events, so after the first 24 hours, interest starts fading?
  5. Ahhh, just what I thought... JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — A Missouri lawmaker says he knows his legislation requiring every 18- to 35-year-old in the state to own an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle has no chance of passing. But Republican state Rep. Andrew McDaniel, of Deering, says he hopes that it and another bill he introduced help to "make a point on mandates in general." The second bill would require adults who can legally possess firearms to do so. Both bills would offer tax credits. McDaniel says it "points out the absurdity of the opposite side," and their proposals to "add more requirements and barriers for law-abiding citizens." The former sheriff's deputy says he decided, "let's get back at them." https://www.news-leader.com/story/news/politics/2019/03/15/rep-mcdaniel-says-bill-requiring-ar-15-s-makes-point-mandates/3180424002/ Sadly, the "other side" won't give a crap or understand. Their mind is already made up.
  6. Ha Getting killed by Pork Roll... what are the odds?
  7. Technically, that's true, but based on how things get "interpreted" by local PDs in the state, I would still recommend having it with you when transporting firearms. Hell, I go one step further and carry a copy of the COE in my range bag, just in case. Who knows what level of PMS the officer might be in the day he stops you. The old saying, "An ounce of prevention...."
  8. It's been like a year and a half or so since I applied for permits. Last time I didn't have to do anything online, it was all on paper and turned in. When I did the online application this time, and went to the local PD to turn in the 066 form, they first told me they weren't processing the new online app. So they give me the manual paper packet, and it says go online to do the criminal background check, and the results get sent electronically to them. That's just stupid. If they can receive one form electronically from the SP, they should be able to get them all. This is the 21st century, computers weren't built yesterday. Once I questioned that, they figured out that they could also process the online application. They're just being lazy government workers.... as usual.
  9. That's what I was wondering, was it introduced as a 180 degree bill for PRO 2A laws, maybe to offset all the crazy new ANTI 2A bills (Red Flag, registration, magazines, etc.) that the Democrats are pushing lately? Show the Dems how off the wall Pro 2a Laws can be? Or, is this guy really serious, and knows something we don't know?
  10. I'm going to agree with you. We need to slow down and "not pull the trigger" on brand new members until they have some history. We have no idea who they are, what information they could be trolling for, who they might be trying to set up, etc. I know you guys like to be helpful, but one of my favorite motto is: "Trust but Verify". Maybe take a pause, and try some qualifying questions to see what's behind the curtain first. Just an idea.
  11. That makes no sense. The criminal background check is done online, processed by the SP and results sent electronically to the local PD. The online application is also processed by the SP, but these local PDs can't receive the application electronically, while they can receive the criminal background that way. It doesn't add up??
  12. Like this guy (Greenday's hero) that lost a fight with a glass shower door?
  13. Wondering if this is a tactic to go the completely opposite direction to all the anti-2A bills recently introduced. There has to be some catch... JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KRCG) - A Missouri state representative's proposed bill could have people up in arms. House Bill No. 1108, sponsored by Rep. Andrew McDaniel, R-Deering, stated that "[e]very resident of this state shall own at least one AR-15." The bill would establish the "McDaniel Militia Act," which would require those aged 18-34 not legally prohibited to possess a firearm to own a semi-automatic rifle that is modeled on the AR-15 design by ArmaLite, Inc. "Any person who qualifies as a resident on August 28, 2019, and who does not own an AR-15 shall have one year to purchase an AR-15. Any resident qualifies as a resident after August 28, 2019, and does not own an AR-15 shall purchase an AR-15 no later than one year after qualifying as a resident," the bill stated. https://krcgtv.com/news/local/missouri-bill-would-require-adults-aged-18-34-to-own-ar-15
  14. Comment from another forum where this poster read the manifesto and gave his point of view. This poster usually knows what's going on: ....." What he says, has been said here many times. We aren't going to vote our way out of what happening to the country. He doesn't hate moslems, only the fact the ones who are invading the country and taking over the culture and who will eventually replace 'us'. He talks about shooting the women and children and says they are invaders never the less, and the kids are just future invading warriors. He actually wishes the moslems well if they stay in their own country. He also says if you feel sorry for the children and women, what do you think moslems terrorists have always done and will continue to do? He also talks about how weak most western men are, and how they are always saying the "line hasn't been crossed yet" and that we can afford to wait, or pursue peaceful means to turn this situation around. He may not have had much education, but his writing is pretty coherent.
  15. A quote of his: "Yes. For once, the person that will be called a fascist, is an actual fascist. I am sure the journalists will love that. I mostly agree with Sir Oswald Mosley's views and consider myself Eco-fascist by nature. The nation with the closest political and social values to my own is the People's Republic of China."
  16. It's also interesting on how the gunman, in his manifesto, touched on the battle here with the 2A and the agenda by the Left to remove guns. Our 2A fight is being picked up and seen in other countries, where they see it's an issue. Here is a snip from Karl's site, he posted a lot longer opinion of the shooting: ...." Then there's the other nasty truth that was demonstrated last night. The shooter's manifesto proclaimed that part of his intent was to foment a civil war over the 2nd Amendment here in the United States. You can bet the left will seize on this shooting and further his agenda. You can also bet that the citizens of this nation are too ****ing stupid to realize the obvious, although if you find and watch the livestream of him mowing down people in that mosque (yeah, I've seen it) what will be instantly obvious is that had just one of the attendees had a pistol and hid around a corner he could have nailed that son-of-a-bitch right in the head and put a stop to that crap. But.... you see..... there is no 2nd Amendment in New Zealand and everyone inside the mosque was unarmed. " http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=235319
  17. I saw this letter by a NZ Senator, at first I thought it was fake. WaPo and Fox have referenced it, so it appears to be legit. It really spells out the issue with immigration:
  18. Wait, we can't be having any of that. It goes against the narrative.
  19. The video and manifesto is being scrubbed as fast as it's being reposted all over. Why are the TPTB trying to suppress free speech?
  20. Too late, already being done.. ......" A picture on the suspected shooter's now deleted Twitter page including a the Black Sun symbol which is used in Satanism and neo-Nazism " https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8642007/new-zealand-mosque-shooting-manifesto-anders-breivik/
  21. Insanity That is what it's become. Goes back to the point I made the other day, we need to find a way to snuff out these BS legal claims and unconstitutional bills BEFORE they even get to the vote stage. Somehow, politicians need to be put on notice or be personally responsible for the unconstitutional crap they try to pass. It's going to get worse until our side really pushes back HARD. Just wait to see what crazy gets proposed after yesterday's New Zealand shooting. PA just submitted a gun registration and grab bill the other day for consideration. These politicians just don't care anymore.
  22. see below It's always the Russian's fault. Please keep up.
  23. True, but she has the ear of the Dem party, so who knows what type of crazy she will spew out of her empty head. Did you ever imagine one party in the country would have a brain-dead, Millennial bartender as the "voice" of the party? We are so screwed....
  24. Yep. Also check with the county Office of Disabilities, they have grants and programs. We use to also get Eagle Scouts to build them as their Eagle Scout projects. Check with the local Boy Scout troops to see if any potential Eagles are looking for a project. Other community organizations like the Elks, Knights of Columbus and others sometimes will help too.
  25. I use to battle that with Medicare all the time. They would pay for the specialized $25K power wheelchair I designed/built, but not pay for a $1000 ramp so the person could get into their house. Government logic...
