This is why it's been said not to do anything with your 15 rounders until there is a determination on the injunction currently being argued or until December. If the injunction is successful, we buy some time until they can fight it out in court. Then, if they win, the 10 round limit goes away, and in a wonderful, non Communist legal system like we have here, we might even get standard 30 round mags back. Also, if they get the injunction approved, my guess is that 5 round mag bill goes into the circular file.

Exactly... I read tons of comments from people who complain about "income inequality", but they don't say boo about the level of taxes that get paid. It's almost if they don't want to keep that 40% of their salary "taken" from them.....

If people actually sat down and added up all the taxes they pay, at the barrel of a gun, they'd be marching on Trenton and DC with pitchforks and rope. I did that exercise a few years ago, and it totaled like 1/3 of our gross salary for the year. Most people don't think about it because taxation is added and spread between so many areas of our lives: Federal income tax, State income tax, Sales tax, property tax, federal gas tax, state gas tax, utility taxes, cell phone taxes, cable taxes, Obamacare tax, Airline/flying tax, etc. Then if you add in the "fees" that you're mandatorily charged from many places, it gets crazy. Everyone should do this drill, you'll be shocked.

Try again.. There's usually two sides to every story, and the truth usually falls somewhere in the middle. Exactly.. there is a "grace period" for possession of 10+ mags, it's clearly written in the new law. The LE holding mags is suspect, as it's very easy for her attorney to point that out. Coming here on a anonymous Internet forum asking for legal advice is very suspect, and I believe there's more to the story that we aren't being told. She has an attorney but is asking strangers for legal advice? That leaves her open game for any follow-up questions. Clarifying WHY they were taken in the first place is the starting point. I could make one assumption that the guns were purchased right AFTER the law was signed and this is why they took possession of NEW 10+ mags. Purchasing 10+ mags after the law was signed would be illegal. So without more specific details, you're all playing Monday morning quarterback.

I'm wondering the same thing. Why were the guns and mags taken away in the first place? This might help us clarify if they will be returned. We need more information on the particular case.

You're comparing two different animals, but both aren't government employees, they're still private. One has the union negotiating their wages for them, the other negotiates them by themselves.

Well, actually, government workers make like 30% more in public service versus the same position in private companies, so to start with, they're overpaid, and that's before the benefit package they get, thanks to the contribution of your tax dollars. I won't even touch on the differences in productivity of a government worker versus a private sector worker.

The 10 round limit is in effect for any NEW purchases and some are saying don't transport your 15's when going to the range right now. Being in possession of 10+ is legal until December. As of December, possession of 10+ will be illegal.
