The snow line is out by Phila, so it should slowly fade out. We got lucky, there's still some really heavy bands of snow just off the coast, the 2" - 3" per hour stuff. If that moved 10 - 20 miles West, we'd be screwed...

It looks like we're round 14" so far. Tough to tell with all the drifting around. Had to shovel a path out to the grass so poochie could take a dump... friggen Primadonna...
Wind chills in the single digits.... Feels so wonderful to have snow blown at you at 30+ mph....
Some of the heavier snow bands stayed just off the coast, otherwise we'd be calling for the dog sleds..

LeBron James has plenty of play money to gamble away, just like some of those other huge names. It's a hobby for them.
Are you investing your house savings in crypto instead of putting it in the I bonds?

Shouldn't that be the other way around. The mountains are suppose to get more... Must be that

Exactly.... that's why I got mine all fired up... we'll get 3 inches now...

The state of emergency for all of New Jersey goes into effect beginning at 5 p.m. today. Heavy snow is expected through Saturday.Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency Friday as a snowstorm is expected to slam parts of New Jersey with blizzard conditions and up to 18 inches of snow along the Jersey Shore and statewide totals ranging from 4 inches to a foot.
The state of emergency goes into effect beginning at 5 p.m. Murphy also said there to be a commercial travel ban put in place beginning at that time.
“This one is a big one,” Murphy said Wednesday at a news conference on the storm. “We’re certainly hoping for the best but we are, without question, preparing for the worst.”

My driveway is 730', a 50' rise with 12-degree slope on average, a hairpin turn, and a 15' ledge rock wall. And yes, I blow it out myself.

Yeah, but you WANTED to live in the boonies..... so there's that....
I'm 5 minutes from the beach.

If they're that stupid to leave the keys in it, they deserve it.
It's just like the idiots in my town that complain their cars are "broken into"... Problem is, they leave them unlocked overnight, after repeated warnings..... Duh....

I'm glad I moved near the beach, where it never snows.....
Just came in, snow blower filled with gas, lubricated, air in the tires.... Bring it Mother Nature!! (although, I could really do without these forced physical exercise programs). Why can't it snow in the Summer, when it's nice and warm....

Locked and Loaded... the final chart before the party starts around dinner time....
If those wind gusts materialize, it will rip down lots of power lines along the coast.

Guess what... it gets even better for us. Now we have a Blizzard warning to go with the over 12" of snow..
I guess it's go big, or go home...
Got a generator???

The Weather Channel and News 12 has the storm much further to the east.

Man, I hope they really miss this forecast. Me, @silverado427 and @15636215 will probably get buried... Snow is forecasted to be light and fluffy, which will pile up higher, but hopefully easy to shovel.
I wonder if I can train the dog to shovel snow by tomorrow night....

Woo Hoo... Now 10" - 16" with isolated amounts to 24" (maybe that Euro forecast will be close). Also, this band now covering the majority of the bottom of the state..

Better than an even layer of heavy wet snow.
I was looking at the temps, it appears it will cold enough for drier snow, that wet stuff sucks. Here's another map, puts us in the 14 inch range... crap...

Those narrow bands are always surprising. The storm moving 20 miles either way, has a big effect on totals.

I wonder how many people just pay that "market adjustment"... just because... I just went through that the other day buying wifey's new ride, dealer wanted MSRP plus $1800 "market adjustment".
Nice try, but that didn't happen..

Might be time to hit the "Eject" button....
White House Wants Crypto Rules as a Matter of National Security
....."The Biden administration is preparing to release an executive action that will task federal agencies with regulating digital assets such as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a matter of national security, a person familiar with the White House’s plan tells Barron’s.
The national security memorandum, expected to come in the next few weeks, would task parts of the government with analyzing digital assets and assembling a regulatory framework that covers cryptos, stablecoins, and NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, this person said.
“This is designed to look holistically at digital assets and develop a set of policies that give coherency to what the government is trying to do in this space,” the person said.

Oh, this is wonderful... in the 12" - 18" range band.... anyone have a plow? or a dog sled.... What could be worse is the 50 mph wind gusts, will make for some major drifts...

The dealer tried to play that "market adjustment" the other day with me... Sorry, Homie don't play that game.
