  1. for those that are lazy that dont want to search for it:
  2. Thats it... your off the christmas card list
  3. Specific vendors did not start charging sales tax because someone posted something on a public forum. Anyone who believes that is the reason ... they are misinformed. Read the tax law and understand what your referring to before making false statements such as that. It's really quite simple... there are thresholds to meet in the number of transactions to this state and/or the amount of sales being done in this state. Breach those thresholds and they must collect NJ state sales tax. Saying some business started collecting sales tax because someone talked about it in a forum is a moronic statement. Economic Threshold Consistent with Wayfair, legislation was enacted that requires certain remote sellers to collect and remit New Jersey Sales Tax. For sales made on and after November 1, 2018, a remote seller that makes a retail sale of tangible personal property, specified digital products, or services delivered into New Jersey must register, collect, and remit New Jersey Sales Tax if the remote seller meets either of the following criteria (the economic threshold): The remote seller's gross revenue from sales of tangible personal property, specified digital products, or services delivered into New Jersey during the current or prior calendar year, exceeds $100,000; or The remote seller sold tangible personal property, specified digital products, or services delivered into New Jersey in 200 or more separate transactions during the current or prior calendar year. A remote seller that does not meet either of these criteria does not have to register with the Division of Taxation to collect and remit New Jersey Sales Tax.
  4. Dam .. i will be out of state, otherwise i would have come down
  5. welcome to the forums! just ignore those crazy southern pork roll folks
  6. I got my gauge yesterday ... checked it and my bolt is fine.
  7. I just called the Kearny PD and asked if they are on the system yet... they are not, they are waiting for the NJSP to activate them, but it will be soon. They have been going to the seminars learning about the new processes.
  8. I can't say yay or nay on that with mine .. All i've had it chew through so far is Federal Game Shok so far and it runs through it like a champ
  9. its a personal choice really . but personally I despise android I use iphones and ipads myself.. so much easier to use in my opinion and do have and have used android tablets .. i think they suck. plus I have too much invested in apps to switch. The main thing I dont like about androids with the phone vendors is there are too many flavors of the Android OS. and seemingly controlled by the carrier. We have a phone Bring your own device policy for mobiles if they so choose. Trying to keep certain apps working properly on different versions of android different carriers update at different times .. unless you jail break it .. its a pain in the ass.
  10. i have the Mark IV 22/45 lite and the thing is awesome. I need to slap a halo ring and a rmr on it
  11. i've been quizzing different PD folks I run into on the loaded mag question .. roughly 2 dozen different officers from 5 or 6 different PD's over the last year and half or so .. its been roughly a 50/50 on the response. 50% say loaded mags are just load mags .. the other 50% has said its considered a loaded gun. So personally I load my mags at the range. that 50/50 crap ain't worth the court battle or headache in my opinion
  12. F Levi's.. then can go out of business with Dick's https://thehill.com/business-a-lobbying/404902-levis-teams-up-with-gun-control-group-we-simply-cannot-stand-by-silently
  13. i have used them a bunch of times. parts, targets, mags etc transfers to ffl's as well. never an issue with them.
  14. Yea but "recent" is subjective. I got mine a over a year ago .... and my serial number still let me order the guage for free. It would be dumb of them to let everyone with a serial number from one of these ever made to get a gauge unless by "recent" they mean the last few years. It let me get one so im going to check mine regardless, not worth it to take a chance, but I find it very interesting that they say recent but are not saying no to one that was manufactured at least 14 months ago.
  15. I have one of these so I already ordered the free bolt gauge tool to check mine here: https://store.smith-wesson.com/m-p-15-22-bolt-inspection-gauge
  16. This has been posted on S&W's facebook page and I know not everyone is on facebook. Not sure how else they are going to release this info so here it is just in case anyone owns one of these: Smith & Wesson has identified two M&P15-22 firearms from recent production on which the breech face counter bore depth was not within manufacturing specification. In those firearms, the lack of depth may allow the bolt, upon closing, to crush the rim of the case, causing the round to fire, cycling the bolt, and potentially resulting in multiple discharges without depressing the trigger. We are asking consumers of all M&P15-22 firearms manufactured before February 1, 2019 to inspect their firearms bolts for this condition. STOP USING YOUR FIREARM UNTIL IT HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND YOUR BOLT REPLACED (IF NECESSARY). To determine whether your firearm is affected by this condition, please inspect your firearm by following the inspection instructions provided at MP15-22SafetyAlert.com.
  17. Each town handles their references differently it seems. Not sure what's going to change with that with the new online system .. not sure if that now comes out of the hands of the local PD or not, but my PD gives me the two blank forms with a stamped case number on them, tying them to my permit request, its then up to me to go get them filled out by my references and dropped back off.
  18. I have a golden rod in my safe, but my safe is in the basement. Does a good job as far as i can see. I have a SafeAlert monitor inside that among other things watches the humidity as well. I've never had any issue with high humidity through the summer... I do deal with low humidity a bit in the winter though. My Basement is not completely climate controlled but also not subject to the wide range of temperatures a garage could be subjected to. In the warmer months my basement room that the safe is will range from 65 to 80 degrees and in the cooler months 50 to 75 degrees. Cant say how a goldenrod would do if the ambient temps were 20 to 40 or below.
  19. nice feature, thanks Mak. Need to add ANJRPC / Cherry Ridge though
