  1. When the range is hot, can i leave my table to retrieve more ammo and/or the loaded mags from the bed of my truck? Obviously leaving any firearms on the table and not bringing them to the truck.. Just retrieving ammo or swapping cased guns between truck and shooting bench? Ron
  2. Hell, i'll one up 'that guy'! Im going to walk along the 200 yard berm and marvel at everyone else's groups too!
  3. well hell then, you guys scaring me enough i should just go to work instead! i assume its appropraite to bend down and pick up my OWN brass as opposed to kicking it around first!
  4. Well that'll suck if we're all split up.. Was hoping getting there early could keep us all grouped in consecutive lanes..? i wont remind them im new there.. i can bullshit em' like an old pro...
  5. ps.. so i guess i shouldnt rapid shoot the 18 rounds from the ol' semiauto model 60 .22.. you know, empty the whole tube in 6 seconds flat... i think i saw something in the rules about not doing that..
  6. Ill have to spend the big bucks and buy theirs.. lol i only have black and maybe white zip ties in the home shop..
  7. After you find the Silverado; I'll be in a metallic grey with black lower F250 crewcab.. Wave me down.. Will be my first time shooting there and the first time in 20 years shooting at a formal range.. All my shooting is in the back yard or behind the hunting club down the pines, so i could use some reassurance and guidance. Would hate to be the guy the range officer gets to yell at first thing in the day. Whats everyone using for targets? I have some old campaign signs and plan to tape/staple paper targets to them. I hear this is a common and simple setup used there often? Ron
  8. Rifle range? I do have a few i want to sight in... my inherited 18rnd .22 Model 60 Marlin Golden 39M .22 High Point .45acp carbine T/C Impact muzzleloader years ago i picked up a sporterized .303 Enfield SMLE with about 90 rounds of 1950's ammo.. Smooth action and cant see any reason not shoot it.. If the ammo still goes off, might be a good time to shoot it tomorrow...? Anyone going a fan or guru of old military rifles? Ron
  9. ill be heading there around 12:52, so ill be there at 1.
  10. Im in for tomorrow! What time everyone thinking? Opens at 1. Im thinking of getting there as soon as they open. Whats everyone shooting? Rifle range only? Ron

Long range forecasts are about as reliable as good sushi from an alabama gas station! May have to wait until later in the week to make that call.... Wednesday at R14 may be doable for me! I have a ton of stuff to sight in.. All my stuff has been safe queens or recent additions and none of it has had official range time or even attempted to be signted in..
  14. Nice! Wish i could have gotten there, but too much to take care of around the home front..
  15. Passed it many of times.. about 40 minutes drive from me...

Im game! Keep me in the loop! I got a few cases of clays waiting to get shot up....
  17. Well shit, i dunno! Not sure where they bomb at, but i suspect much deeper in the pines and probably more than one spot.. But close enough to rattle my windows sometimes.. Im in North Hanover, right by the intersection of Rt.528 and Rt.537. Close to New Egypt border; right down the street from Hanover golf course...
  18. Enjoy! Im coaching my sons basketball team and we have a game at 2:30... no range day for me
  19. Driving? im 6 miles from range 14... I would def be up for shooting some clays! Id be a totally newb, other than a few hundred rounds shooting at clays launched from a hand thrower.. Whats your midweek schedule like? I am do to reward myself with a day off.. This Wednesday is looking warm and dry! Ron
  20. No prob, didnt want to see you make a trip for nothing! But it sure would have been a great day to be there.... Some serious training going on at the base earlier today.. My house was a rockin'; they were blowing some big shit up and lotsa full auto pew pew pew.. music to my ears... I LOVE living so close to the base and ranges...
  21. Arent they closed fridays this time of the year? I think its just wednesays, saturdays, sundays after december until spring.
  22. Thanks for the info and link!! I just created my login/account. Super easy and quick. Just as expected, being self employeed, ill have to work until i die...
  23. awesome, thanks for the quick reply fella's..
  24. Anyone know if/what the age restriction is at Range 14? looked over the rules and dont see it mentioned. I assume no issues then with teenage sons/daughters coming along and shooting?? I see wednesdays hours are until 8pm. i assume there must be outdoor lighting on the range??
  25. hows that?! lol My 2000 excursion with the V10 and factory 4.30 gears has rarely broken 11mpg on the highway.. Averaging mid 9's with mixed driving.. Sad thing is, my '09 F250 crewcab with the 5.4 and 5 speed auto hardly does any better!
