  1. I didn't want to take the chance that NICS would reject it without everything matching between the P2P and my NJ FPID card and have to go through anymore procedural hoops. It looked like a typo to me, but I see the online form and paper form don't match in what's asked for.
  2. I'm sure that was a "mistake". One thing to watch for: The online form only asks for middle initial, while the multicopy paper permit you actually have in hand states "middle name". I had to have the clerk correct my form after a call to my FFL told me that it should be the middle name, not just initial.
  3. I don't think the current NJ AG would care one bit. Thankfully, at least part of the process in my town is online, so I do have an email "paper trail". But you're right, the physical paperwork could be lost.
  4. Thanks for the link 45Doll. I'll file that away. As I said, I don't want to rock the boat and cause more delays.
  5. Thanks for the advice, I won't poke the bear. I phrased it in a nice, nonconfrontational way of I heard somewhere of a 30 day processing window, so just checking etc.
  6. Can anyone link me to the NJ legislation that states a 30 day processing window for handgun permits? I'd like to send a friendly reminder to my town's police detective. Thanks.
  7. But NY may have already jumped the shark with the transport case going to the Supreme Court. The SC may finally decide to apply strict scrutiny to 2nd A cases.
  8. Can anyone clarify as to whether the CA District court judge had the latitude or jurisdiction to rule on the basic question of the constitutionality of the ban on mags >10 rds, or was he only ruling on the issue of invalidating the ballot initiative that reversed the grandfathering of possessing them? I'm not convinced that the news outlets understand the situation completely.
  9. Are you sure about that? I thought the 3rd refused to hear it en banc because of being beholden to some precedent of a previous case ruling, and now it goes back down to the District Court to be heard on the merits. (The first round was an attempt to stay enforcement before the Dec 10 deadline).
  10. And another thought: with the 3rd circuit now flipped by Trump, the carry case and the 10 round mag limit may only need to get to the cirucit court and go no further. This is what happened in D.C. with the challenge to "justifiable need" to carry. It was overturned by the D.C. circuit and attorneys general from states like NJ and similarly minded begged D.C. to NOT appeal the decision.
