Doesn't look like they're closing.  The range-14.com website is closing down at the end of the year - everything's being done now on the Joint Base MDL website.

    https://www.gomdl.com/range-14

    https://87fss.com/web31/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/splash.html

I think Range 14 is hurting themselves with their actions over the last few years. Since this covid crap, reservations are STILL required??  And there is STILL no walkon/daily customers allowed? Are masks STILL required? LOL. Covid is OVER and they've since increased their rates again and NOW they're closing their website? I never made it over there to shoot and I'm not sure if I want to now.

  2. I finally bought a sight pusher but only used it for a fine adjustment. Now I'm looking to sell it in brand new condition.  If anyone is interested, see my craigslist post here:

(I guess I'm not allowed to post on the WTS forum since I'm not a premiere member? I don't see a Start a New Topic button.)

Be prepared gentlemen, it looks like something is coming in the pipeline.

Of course. That's why these Obiden satatic scum create false flags like the Boulder incident. They don't care about deaths and they don't care about criminals. THEY ONLY WANT CONTROL OVER THE LAW ABIDING MASSES. How many false flag mass shootings under Trump? Obiden?

  4. These satanists in power DO NOT CARE about gun deaths AND they do not care about criminals. They create false flag mass shootings for the SOLE PURPOSE of using it as an excuse to abolish the 2nd Amendment. They only want CONTROL over the law abiding masses. How many mass shootings occurred during Trumps administration?  How many during Obiden's. I guarantee the mass shootings will pickup again as long as this satanist puppet is in power.

  5. I'm looking for a sight pusher to borrow to remove a VERY stubborn rear factory sight on my CZ 75  P-01. I'd buy one if I thought I'd use it more than a few times. A couple of years ago, I removed the rear factory sight on my PCR by tapping it out which was pretty easy, but this P-01 sight will not budge even with a larger ball peen hammer.  I'm in Tinton Falls near Wall township. Thanks.

MODERATOR: I repeated this post in the Gunsmithing Thread so feel free to remove it here as it's firearms related. Thx

Shooters Sporting Center in Little Egg Harbor has 16 lanes, 150 yards, steel targets at 150 yards, each port separated by walls. $20 walk on. No handguns, only rifles and shotgun slugs.

Thanks. I should have specified an outdoor range that allows handguns. (Edited my orig post) I saw Shooters Sporting Center on the New Jersey Range Locations thread and that they did not allow pistols. Thx.

  8. I was wondering if anyone knows a outdoor gun range in Monmouth or Ocean county that charges by the day or hour. I know Range-14 used to have a day rate of $25 but they no longer allows it during the time of covid where they now require reservations. I don't understand why they can't allow it. But anyway,.... looking for an alternative outdoor range that allows to shoot handguns by the hour/day that's not too expensive. Thanks.

Indoor ranges are out of the question because I always get sick (sore throat, flu symptoms) the day after using an indoor range.

  9. Same here. I went to pick up my CZ at my local FFL today. He said I need to come back in a few days because the NJ NICS system is slow or down!  What!! He did the paperwork, but I guess the system is backed-up or rigged against us. I'd go for the latter. Terrible. Murphy sucks.

Is it now delayed or down? So this issue started Oct 1? Thx

The CZ-75 P-01 is all over Gunbroker, granted most or 14rd but you can buy the gun and have an FFL mod the mags or buy 10rd mags.

Thanks for making me aware. I'm looking for a new 01199- model no. for the10rd. (91199=14/15rd). I normally check THIS site and gunbroker too. As I get closer to my expiration, I will definitely consider that, if it's new.  EDIT: It's good to see that some dealers on gunbroker have multiple brand new 14/15rd P-01s for sale.  Sorry to use this thread with unrelated comments.

    That's impressive!

I called the PD before applying and they said at least 2 months for just permits, but in reality, only 16 days.  I wouldn't mind it taking longer because I have my heart set on a hard-to-find piece- CZ 75 P-01 10RD. Hard to find even without these current conditions. I should find one before the extension expires.

  12. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID).  1 P2P Permit

    2. Police Department where you applied.  Tinton Falls

    3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD.  Done online

    4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. 16 days

        Aug 24 - Application Submitted
        Aug 25 - References completed
Aug 28 - Criminal history check completed
        Sept 2  - Approved
Sept 9  - PD called that permit was ready and I picked-up same day. Issue date on permit, Sept 3rd.

    5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). None

    6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.). To extend the permit to 180 days, I must call them a week before it expires. They would not pre-extend.

  13. I just bought a 50g bar a couple of weeks ago. Had to pay sales tax. I think NJ is one of only a few states that charges tax on bullion. Another reason of 100 to move out of NJ. https://www.jmbullion.com/tax/

I bought bullion in 2013 and didn't pay any tax then. So, between the premium above spot and the 6.625% NJ sales tax, you would have to hold the gold a while to make money.

I believe if you pay with an ACH transfer or by personal check, buying precious metals is not reportable to the Fed. If you pay with cash, cashiers check or money order, it can be reportable. https://www.jmbullion.com/reportable-bullion-transactions-infographic/

Good idea to feel that out. I once went to my Cleo a few weeks before expiration , he said he can't/ won't sign something that is still active. However he did say he would sign the extension the day after expiration. But then again I remember reading about a guy who tried after they expired and was told no, Cleo would not "re-new"  paperwork that was not good anymore. That's the problem with discretion, one never knows until you find out.

Good to know. I'll let you know what they say. Thanks.

  15. Thanks for the replies. Actually, when they call me to let me know my permit is ready, I'll ask them if the chief of police can extend it to save me a trip latter on. It can't hurt. Thx again.

It only took about 10 days from submitting the online application to approval for 1 P2P in Tinton Falls.. I'm expecting them any day now to notify me the permit is ready for pickup.

It's valid for 90 days, but can be extended by the issuing authority (police department) up to 180 days from the original date issued.

Yes, you will have to have a check done (NICS) when you go to purchase or pick up an online purchase.

Cool. Thanks. As you responded, I just pulled out my expired permits from years ago and saw the 180 days. Good news. Thanks so much

  17. My fingerprinting in 2016 was 55-56 bucks.

I thought they did a background check because I had a California DUI in the 80's. Just kidding. LOL  My FFL suggested (and I did so) I put that arrest on the application even though it wasn't required because the sentence could have NEVER been more than 6 months. He said it's better to be up-front. Regardless, I got my FID in 2016.

The $18 + $3 convenience fee is for what was the SP212A - Non-criminal background check. Your friend didn't pay anything at the time of application because it was his initial application and he had to be fingerprinted - third party / separate off-line fee. The $5 per FPID and $2 per P2P is payable to your local PD when you pick-up the permit(s).

    Adios,

    Pizza Bob

I see. That settles that. Thanks!

EDIT: So he pays the $18 later or not? I think you're saying the fingerprinting is in place of the non-criminal background check? That would explain why I don't remember paying $18 the first time applied for a FID.

  19. 7 minutes ago, JackDaWack said:

18 for background is everytime you apply. I think there is an exception if you apply for more permits in short order, im not sure on how soon after though. It is a seperate fee from fingerprints.

Thanks. Just wondering why my friend wasn't billed for the background check at the time of his initial FID application, and I was billed for just a permit(s). Maybe each town bills at different times.

    5 for FPID

    2 per pistol permit

    18 for background check

    60 or so for fingerprinting.

Should only be paying 2 per permit after that and 18 for Background check. Special circumstances can apply... like s request to refingerprint or lost duplicate FPID

That's what I thought. So the $18 (+$3 svc fee) for the background check occurs every time you apply for a permit INCLUDING the first time? When one initially applies, is the $18 a part of the $55-60 fingerprinting fee or is it paid separate in addition to?

  21. Before the electronic process a few years ago, where in the process was $18 due? Was it paid at the beginning?

My friend just applied for a FID and 3 permits (Toms River) and didn't pay anything to finish the application. I guess he'll pay the $18 at a different time? He was told that $11 was due at a later time. ($5 for FID and $6 for 3 permits). Maybe each town has a different sequence on how they're billed?
