Malsua 1,422 Posted February 7, 2021 Was 75 when we took off from Orlando today. I spent 3 hours clearing snow when I got home. I'm almost done though! Fleeing south in a few months.
oldguysrule649 397 Posted February 7, 2021 Raining moderately heavily here in North Middletown along the Bayshore. I am just east of the rain-snow line. Supposed to get 3-5” of snow between 11:00 am and 4:00pm. Until then, am hoping it continues to rain hard and melt some of the existing snow. Update, LOL. I must have jinxed myself. It just started snowing five minutes after my above post. @#$&*
45Doll 5,873 Posted February 7, 2021 Nothing at all in southern Sussex until about 8:45. Started a dusting and at 9:30 it's barely covered the pavement.
Displaced Texan 11,731 Posted February 7, 2021 Started as rain here and quickly turned to heavy snow. We are in the 6-10” zone, so we’ll see what happens.
voyager9 3,434 Posted February 7, 2021 Changed from rain to snow around 8:30 in burlco. I think we’re now forecast for 3-5 (down from 6-10).
45Doll 5,873 Posted February 7, 2021 WFMZ Allentown keeps dropping the snow estimate. And the storm (lack of) center is moving off rapidly.
Scorpio64 5,147 Posted February 7, 2021 Raining moderately heavy here (X105 GSP), for now. It looks weird though, like there may be a small amount of wet snow mixed.
Sota 1,191 Posted February 7, 2021 we have 2" down, at a computed rate of 1.18"/hr right now.

gleninjersey 2,139 Posted February 7, 2021 Fudge. Better get out there and clear some off then. Do what's left after the game.
NJSigfan 218 Posted February 7, 2021 Alert on weather.com says 7pm, but radar shows it clear by 4pm. Right now we are sitting at about 4 inches in Clinton area
voyager9 3,434 Posted February 7, 2021 It’s been snowing like the dickens since 8:30 or so but I went outside and there was only two or three inches on the ground. Less on the driveway.
Displaced Texan 11,731 Posted February 7, 2021 Here too. I’d say 4” or so, but it’s nasty, slushy messy stuff on the walks. I’m going to make the first cleanup pass around the ‘hood shortly. Maybe minimize it turning to a chunk of ice tonight.
gleninjersey 2,139 Posted February 7, 2021 First round done. 3-4 inches near me. Light & fluffy right now. Banged it out and helped a few of my neighbors out. Hopefully not much more to clear later tonight. Guess I'll work off the beer and chips from watching the game and wont' feel guilty about eating garbage all day! Displaced Texan 11,731 Posted February 7, 2021 Stopped snowing. The stuff on the sidewalks in my hood is messy. Slushy. Wet. Gets nasty as hell when it refreezes. Thankfully I was able to get most of it up around my block.
45Doll 5,873 Posted February 7, 2021 Well it's done in Sussex. Two inches of dry white powder. More annoying than anything else.

voyager9 3,434 Posted February 8, 2021 Makes me glad I have a Wood stove. Get it started, close the door. Wait. Maybe open the clean out door briefly.

gleninjersey 2,139 Posted February 8, 2021 Got lucky. It was almost done when I finished up. Went back out to clean the cars off after taking 30 minute break. One neighbor usually snowblows a lot of the neighbor's sidewalks, including mine. He was shoveling. Asked him what was up. Said his snow blower broke during last storm. So I helped him shovel his sidewalk & driveway . Hopefully we can take a break from snow for a while? At least we shouldn't have to worry about a drought later this year.
