FLORIDA Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit, CCW

Recommended Posts

I was told the problem was the need for live fire cert. All other aspects acceptable and ok'd. Anyone know s certified instructor who would do range portion without the full class? I've submitted my phase one classroom cert already. Really appreciate any help.

I'm sure you could pay any range to do it for you.

Several years ago when I was getting my FL CCW I went to Gun For Hire and asked what I should do.  They said I could wait for a class (there wasn't one scheduled for a while) or I could pay the class fee and they could get one of the instructors to essentially do a private lesson for me and cover the certification material.

They have a TON of classes at GFH now, so you may want to check first and see if there's already one planned that fits your schedule.

Otherwise just call your closest range and ask what they can do for you.  If you're willing to pay, most places will accommodate.

Some police agencies still do prints as well. I called around Ocean County and found Lacey Township did them no cost, 2 copies and they were as pleasant and accommodating as possible.

Thanks.  That's interesting as I didn't think that was an option given that our local PDs send us to IdentGo for FID prints.

Yes, I encountered that with my own local PD, good folks to work with pistol permit wise, but outsource printing to IdentGo as well. Not all of them offer ink printing I needed for Florida, and the closest one was in north Jersey more than an hour from me. Lucky to find Lacey Twsp. which is only a 15 minute drive.

Watch for progress on the Rogers & ANJRPC CCW case vs NJ AG, et al.
This was listed in another thread, but I thought it will need it's own space to avoid hijacking Rosey's CNJFO thread.

      Hi Everyone
I just Read the article in the Political report in Shooting Illustrated about The July ruling By the US Court Of Appeals that found DC's "good reason" to be granted a CCW unconstitutional. Wouldn't the conflicting rulings between the DC Federal Court and the Jersey District Federal court force the SCOUS to a hearing to resolve the conflict? This is old news from back in July I'm just hearing about now. If its already been discussed  please direct me to the thread.
      Thanks

Can anyone help me find the stats on how many people in NJ apply for CCLs, and how many of those applications get rejected?
I'm having an online argument on a military forum (I'm a retired Marine).  Some guy thinks concealed-carry-restrictive states such as New Jersey and California are not violating the 2nd Amendment since they have a process for getting a permit, my response is it is a de facto ban if the vast majority of permit applicants are denied, but it's hard to make that argument without stats to back it up.

GAPP has another CCW class coming up. This one will be held at Shooters Sporting Center in Little Egg Harbor Township.... so all of you South Jersey shooters interested in CCW should consider coming to the class. Florida and Utah are the most sought after permits in the nation because they are among the most widely recognized. We provide all services necessary to get a concealed carry permit in both UT and FL including the applications, envelopes, passport photos, finger prints, notary seal, and UT CFP instructor seal... pretty much one stop shopping to get your CCW in multiple states. We also help you fill in the application so it wont be returned for being completed improperly. For a full course description, registration information, and other class dates, go to www.gappnj.com.
