Old, collectible shotguns see a buying resurgence in these times?

Recommended Posts

I found this article interesting. Crazy times are upon us, but a market that's been stagnant for a while seems to be seeing an uptick in prices.

Fueled by the bidding sites? Who knows. Here's one person's observation:

I have a Winchester model 37 bought for $125. It is an excellent weapon. Clay busting machine! It is fugly and 100% functional. I took it apart and barely needed cleaning. Some clown smeared PolyShade wood finish over everything including the barrel. I was going to restore it but why bother? Well worth the money and if I didn't have one, I would pay up to $300 for a nice one.

Some Winchester 37's in pristine shape are fetching a lot more than $300 today.
