Tonester2 10 Posted February 17, 2021 I'm looking for a NJ legal AR style rifle with arm brace chambered in 45 ACP. Not looking for anything new or fancy but must be fully functional. PM me if you have anything like it.
njJoniGuy 2,131 Posted February 17, 2021 Have never seen what you desire. What's your SECOND choice here in the Glorious PRNJ?

Tonester2 10 Posted February 17, 2021 The main reason for wanting a 45 ACP chambered rifle is because I actually have plenty of that ammo. As we're all aware 5.56/223, 308, 7.62, etc. ammo are difficult to come by and available ones are going for over a buck a round so I'm thinking a Pistol Caliber Carbine chambered in ammo I have plenty of would be a good idea. I just don't know if any of them are legal in New Jerseystan. I know CMMG, Flint River Armory, and Foxtrot Mike just to name a few make them.

I guess if they're selling it in NJ then it must be NJ legal.
Displaced Texan 11,731 Posted February 18, 2021 I would imagine it is if it’s at Shooters.
Redeye65 161 Posted February 18, 2021 They wouldn’t sell it if it wasn’t, they will swap out the 13 round mag for a 10 rounder.
Tonester2 10 Posted February 18, 2021 Sorry guys, I didn't realize they're in NJ until I saw their phone number. Thanks.

Dooly 41 Posted February 18, 2021 But didn't you want it to have a brace? If so with this, you would have to get the retractable type (ie. Sb Tactical) and then pin it, no? If so, why then get a pinned extended brace?

A brace isn't really a requirement, just me not fully familiar with laws on rifle limitations in NJ so I thought an AR style must have a brace and not an adjustable stock. Dooly 41 Posted February 18, 2021 Ah ok... if the barrel length is less than 16' it will need a brace and a vertical foregrip...I believe there is also some law about the total length as well... As it appears this is a rifle and the barrel length complys with NFA laws, doesn't need a brace however the stock still must be non-retractable and must be pinned.
Redeye65 161 Posted February 18, 2021 They will take care of all the nj requirements.
Dooly 41 Posted February 18, 2021 This would be sweet if they made the magwell large to support any 45 caliber cartridge...but obviously conversion kits would be needed though. 454 casull...460s&w....damn!
Redeye65 161 Posted February 18, 2021 Did you buy it?

I'm hoping to get a shorter rifle, even if it has to have a foregrip like an "Other" variety. I'm in no rush so I'll just explore a bit more.
