Check the Brownell’s slides. Best value for RDS Gen3 slides out there IMO.

i've looked on there. i think it was actually your suggestion. the only ones they seem to have are with the cocking serrations all the way across the top on the front, and i kinda don't care for that look.........

they also don't have it in stock, and i did set a notice for when they're back in.....

I don’t have a slide, but if anyone is looking for glock 19 gen 5 complete frame, let me know.  I have one I am willing to see.

How much are you looking to get for it

I have a Swenson slide - standard though, no optic cut. Slide works fine but was picky with barrels. Takes my OEM G19 and KKM barrels. Won’t take my Arc or SEF barrels.

I like the front serrations and the bull-nose.

So far seems like decent value for the $$. Don’t have a lot of rounds through it, so I can’t speak to longevity, but I built it with a standard Glock OEM upper parts kit and I have had no malfunctions and the ejects brass properly (not into my forehead).

It’s the only non-red dot G19 I have left.

Only downside I see is that it is cut for optics that aren’t my first or even second choice.

Windowed G19 Brownell’s slides are back in stock - $240:

https://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/slide-parts/slides/rmr-cut-slide-for-glock-19-gen-3-prod134618.aspx?avs|Manufacturer_1=brownells&avs|Make_3=Glock&avs|Special-Filters_1=In%2bStock&trk_msg=L4HKQF5CUPU4J5SJS7DHBN335O&trk_contact=31ARLAI3EJUNVMM3IC1DMVDL9C&trk_sid=21J7D3FTP7QT0OKPD9FSSOEOFG&trk_link=UNJNHLHDR2SKHATI2E85FE6JSK&utm_source=listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Shop Slides Now&utm_campaign=2021_08_06_Slides&utm_content=HandgunParts

They have Gen 3 and Gen 4 models in stock, in black nitride or FDE PVD.

These are great value - especially as a test platform. The dot sits deep in the slide - you use standard height BUIS, not Suppressor height irons.

For just a bit more than the Swenson slide above, it’s a no brainer.

Brownell’s for the win.

most guns that are milled for RDS require suppressor height sights in order to use them as a backup sighting system through the window of the optic similar to a lower 1/3 cowitness on a carbine.

On a pistol, You want the iron sights to take up as little of the viewing window as possible - referred to as “low-witness”. The Brownell’s slide allows you to achieve the “low-witness” with regular height sights because the RDS is milled lower into body of the slide.you don’t need the taller sights to clear the base of the optic to be visible through the window.

I mean, you could use suppressor sights, but you then would cover half of your viewing window through the red dot with close to an absolute co-witness, removing a lot of the advantage of having a RDS on the pistol in the first place.

If you have a slide milled, or get a different slide, you will likely need Suppressor height sights.

No. That is not an ideal RDS for a pistol for many reasons - reticle is too large, inability to adjust brightness manually, serious issues with reticle washout in variable lighting conditions, it is very expensive for what you are getting.

You want a Trijicon RMR06V2 and Battlewerx sealing plate or a Holosun 407C V2 or 507C V2.

I recommend the 407C V2. Best value, very reliable, side battery tray (so you don’t have to remove optic and lose zero to change battery), appropriately sized dot, and larger window.

thank you again. i like the price on that one better, and i like that i can get a green dot. i've noticed on sights that i seem to be able to see green much easier than red.

i really do appreciate all the help and advice sir.
