I've been selling a bunch of ammo and frankly there's enough demand locally that you shouldn't need to ship it and have to be concerned with multiple state laws.
If you post in the NJ guns for sale group on MeWe you'll get lots of interest for 9mm, .223 and 12ga ammo from people who will drive to you.
Thank's for posting those laws and UPS rules for shipping ammo. I'm thinking about selling some spare 9mm, 223, & 12ga, on GunBroker and have been frustrated by all the multitude of state laws and requirements.
I'm thinking if I avoid shipping to HI, AK, and CA, and require a copy of a state ID and firearms ID, I'll be okay. Am I forgetting anything?
https://www.gunbroker.com/ffl/index you can look up FFLs near you that will do internet transfers here.
It's always a good Idea to contact the FFL before you order and have it delivered. If you can't get ahold of them ahead of time, you will have problems getting ahold of them after they have your stuff. But even so it's a good idea to let them know something is coming and to make sure their listed rates are current so there are no surprises.
Yeah people are working way too hard to pat themselves on the back. This doesn't cover exigent circumstances, and it doesn't cover the shit-grade warrants you get in the case of red flag orders.
Those will have to be another case. Don't expect them to ever give up exigent circumstances. If we are lucky, red flag laws will be reigned in given the lack of a crime.
You're going to go all the way to Atlantic City just to buy from Cabela's?
I'd suggest looking up FFL's in your area. You may want to start another post asking for FFL recommendations and give them a call.
its not that complicated and gives you the option of shopping for the best deal online which can more than offset the transfer fee.
