revenger 473 Posted July 6, 2021 https://www.nj.com/hudson/2021/07/secaucus-police-arrest-man-with-loaded-gun-at-hotel.html misleading headlines? the entire story needs to be known: #1 was this guy a prohibited person #2 did he consent to a search # 3 was he engaged in criminal activity or a suspect in a crime The fact that a person is carrying a gun doesn't make them criminals,
father-of-three 243 Posted July 6, 2021 It is difficult to get that specific information from the media in free states, let alone New Jersey. Sadly, one does not need options 1, 2, or 3 to become a felon in the garden state.
JohnnyB 4,322 Posted July 6, 2021 Quinterious Jone, 23, was was arrested after a search of his vehicle uncovered a loaded Glock 27 .40 caliber handgun. The handgun was loaded with a 16-round magazine and also had a round in the chamber, according to police. Additionally, some hollow point ammunition was also seized, police said. A few things stand out to me!!

The gun was loaded in his car....I'm guessing in the passenger compartment. It had a 16 round magazine. The man broke a few PRNJ laws for sure!

Mrs. Peel 7,157 Posted July 6, 2021 Reminder: No firearms topics in General Discussion forum... moving this over to the NJ laws area... since they'll, no doubt, be at the core of this particular case.
