Old Glock guy 1,125 Posted August 11, 2021 I just picked up a Beretta 1301 Tactical and am considering putting a red dot optic on it. I have a Romeo 5 on another semi-auto shotgun (a 930), and it seems to be OK, except perhaps for making over the top emergency reloads a little tricky. Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on something else they like?
High Exposure 5,635 Posted August 11, 2021 Aimpoint T1 would be my #1 choice, but that’s a pricey proposition. I have a T1 on my bench now that is waiting for my Aridus CROM to get installed on my 870. Super jealous of your 1301. I really want one - specifically a Langdon version. Check out Aridus: https://www.aridusindustries.com They make a lot of accessories for that platform, including an adapter to put Magpul 870 stocks on them. I was lusting after one for a long time, but they did not seem to be readily available. Shooters has a number of them in stock at a fair price, but it was still the most I have ever paid for a firearm by far.
High Exposure 5,635 Posted August 13, 2021 Yeah man. I am kicking myself for not grabbing one a few years back when Atlantic Tactical had the tactical version for sub $700..
RegRasc1 18 Posted November 18, 2021 Sorry if I'm threadjacking or if this belonged in a separate thread, but does anyone have experience with a dovetail to pic rail adapter? I have an Escort Slugger 12ga and am contemplating putting a red dot on it, but it only has a dovetail mount over the receiver (or at least that what it appears to be). Would any of those adapters be able to withstand the kick of a shotgun? I've linked a few below as an example of what I'm talking about. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IWPI3EY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_QEP9RKJBATWVKQPG34WA Or https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CBSSBRS/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_E58WRDNHN594ZYR3DWEZ

Amazon dovetail to pic rail Or Another option Your links aren't working - but as long as you threadlock 'em down they should stay on and keep zero. High Exposure 5,635 Posted November 18, 2021 Thread-locker or not - I would not buy a $10 mount from Amazon for an optic on a shotgun unless you want to look like this:

And the mount broke on contact.

Shocker 150 Posted November 19, 2021 This is the Burris Speedbead on my 870. I know they make one for the OP’s 1301, not sure about an Escort - only if the stock mount is similar to a well known gun I would guess its made to fit a fast fire but it’s really low and out of the way. I haven’t decided whether I like a dot on my shotgun but I think this is a neat solution

I believe this photo was from an optic that broke loose from a pistol and flew back hitting the shooter in the face/forehead.

An idiot that bought some knock -off Chicom crap instead of made in the USA ADM. Still an idiot. EDIT: And, a cheapskate.
High Exposure 5,635 Posted November 19, 2021 Pretty sure it was a Glock OEM MOS plate that sheared.
