falcone 89 Posted December 21, 2021 Can anyone recommend a shop that does good rust repair on vehicles, specially pickups? Have an 06 Ram diesel that needs the rockers replaced. Most shops don’t deal with rust repair anymore and the few that don’t will probably charge a lot. I’ve been in contact with a small diesel repair/custom shop that does this kind of work frequently. But they’re over an hour away and the owner seems to be busy as hell right now and not interested in more work. I’m in Union County and don’t mind driving some for a good shop. If anyone has any info that could help me out I’d really appreciate it.
EdF 323 Posted December 21, 2021 I have a guy . . . I'm pretty sure . . . But, without knowing where YOU are, I don't know if he's even farther away . . .

dilbert1967 145 Posted December 22, 2021 I would recommend B&D Fabrication and Truck Repair in Tabernacle, Burlington County. They replaced a section of the uni-body underneath my '99 Jeep Cherokee with 1/8" plate steel and spraying it with sealant. They did a great job and I thought the price was reasonable given they had to drop the fuel tank to get to the rusted out area.
Sota 1,191 Posted December 22, 2021 this is relevant to my interests.
silverado427 10,555 Posted December 22, 2021 Most shops only do restoration work when they are slow. Insurance work is tits for most shops.
falcone 89 Posted December 22, 2021 Yea not many shops even bother with it. I’m debating if I should just get rid of the truck instead

Owner was selling it for the wife of a client who had passed away. I can't attest to the quality of their work or pricing but they had some classic cars they were working on while we viewed the Tahoe. Owner seemed like a decent guy. https://www.corbosautomotivenj.com/classic-car-restoration/4981077?useYB=1&cam=ppc-g-m130921-c521089-g1265788-&ClickAttributionId=CjwKCAiAtouOBhA6EiwA2nLKH1g-Q-XrSoIJWfaHmE7mVEPlLnmhWc62udUMXPqVnounvQhpJvodvBoCg7IQAvD_BwE 4.7 stars out of 5 on Google reviews. https://www.google.com/search?q=corbo's+automotive+reviews&sxsrf=AOaemvIfIdrIrH_Kx7R2vaWn53wY0Z1VJw%3A1640223469325&ei=7dLDYaasE6OgptQPiaOP-AI&ved=0ahUKEwjm1vbJ5Pj0AhUjkIkEHYnRAy8Q4dUDCA4&uact=5&oq=corbo's+automotive+reviews&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMyBQghEKsCOgQIIxAnOgQIABBDOgoILhDHARDRAxBDOgsILhCABBDHARCjAjoFCAAQkQI6CgguEMcBEK8BEEM6CggAELEDEIMBEEM6BAguEEM6BwgAELEDEEM6CwguEMcBEK8BEJECOgcIABDJAxBDOgUIABCSAzoHCC4QsQMQQzoICAAQgAQQsQM6BQgAEIAEOhAILhCABBCHAhDHARCvARAUOgsILhCABBDHARCvAToHCAAQgAQQCjoGCAAQFhAeOggIABAWEAoQHjoCCCY6BQghEKABSgQIQRgASgQIRhgAUABY4Upg-0toA3ACeACAAYEBiAHUFZIBBTE2LjEzmAEAoAEBwAEB&sclient=gws-wiz#lrd=0x89c39552ba3110a3:0x4dc224f2f9f2be,1,,,

I would just drive it as long as there are no safetly issues. Take your time to find the right shop.
