Storing Ammo Question

Hi Everyone,

I store my ammo in metal ammo cans.   I also include a desiccant bag in each can.    God forbid, in a house fire, what happens??    Are there measures I should be considering to keep my family and first responders safe?

Besides self-defense ammo, all of mine is locked in metal containers and stored in a location separate from the inhabited part of the house.

Your only other option is to spread it out around the house, and not keep in all in one place or closet. This way, in case of a fire, there's a chance the fire can be contained in one area (and hopefully not the closet all your ammo is stored in).
