My patriot supply emergency food

Recommended Posts

These guys did a review of several different "survival" type / freeze dried foods that is over an hour long.  I didn't watch the entire video.

They summarize their "findings' in this concise write up.  As many things it comes down to what you value most.  I would be a bit wary of any reviewer who is also being paid to advertise the product or who is selling the product.

I'm sure there are many other similiar videos out there comparing these different brands.  This is just the first one I stumbled across.  Maybe buy a few of the the same kind of the most highly rated and see which you enjoy yourself.   Everyone's tastes are going to be different.

I haven't heard of them.  I stick to Wise as it's the company that I've used the most since 1989.  I've had pretty much every meal that they've offered and never had a problem.  I also like Mountain House, but personally find their products a bit salty for my taste.  Of course anything will do in a pinch.

Agree, some of the products are super salty, probably 90% of a lethal dose.  Don't eat two servings.  Kidding aside, I stocked up on Mt House and have sampled most of the products.  MH is not for casual dining, it is survival and camping food, both activities where one needs to replenish salt and other essential nutrients.  I think of it as chewable Gatorade.
