What kind of Lawyer do you end up getting? Moe, Larry or Curly or Evan Nappen? or somewhere in-between?

Uh...you need a criminal defense lawyer not a gun lawyer. Napped toots his own horn a lot.

Still, $200 a year for a legal defense that could be $20,000 or more seems like a great deal.

didn't mr nappen come up in a thread in here, and it was mentioned that he charged something like 10k retainer?

i just picked up a us lawshield flyer at bobs........looked good, and i came in here looking for advice on them. seems this thread is a pretty good indicator on them..........one question............probably need them to answer this one....but i see a place for a cc number....can't pay by check though? if doing yearly?

Credit card means they can automatically renew.  Not a bad thing in this case.

Does us law shield only handle strictly self defense situations? Their website is a bit muddy in my opinion.  Does it cover wrongful arrest? Maybe a cop misidentified Hornady as a hollow point,  or a cop makes a mistake with some other statute.

They cover criminal prosecutions including the initial investigation by the authorities before charges are filed. Basically, if the police want to talk to you about a weapon related issue (yes, knives are included), you can call USLS and they will provide legal services. They do not cover 3rd party liability which is what the new law demands.
