adrianalindgren 0 Posted October 13, 2022 I got some Carlson's chokes (Beretta/Mobile) they go into my Tri-Star with no issue, but on the ATI Cavalry get a few turns then way too tight for my liking, feels like it is not a good fit and I am afraid of messing up the threads. Anyone else run into this ?
Scorpio64 5,120 Posted October 13, 2022 You have the correct thread pattern, TS and ATI both use Beretta-Benelli-Mobile compatible tubes. ATI is nowhere near the quality of Beretta, so I would not be surprised if the ATI threads are out of spec. You can try a few things. First, try another set of tubes, I'm sure you know someone with a shotgun that has the same thread pattern, or try the tubes that came with the TS in the ATI. If you have a caliper, measure the ATI tube and compare it to the Carlson. Lastly, you can try using a Beretta choke wrench with a thread chaser, using the chaser to clean and repair boogerd up threads.
rifleman 90 Posted October 17, 2022 Buying cheap chokes is a mistake. Save $20 and risk them getting stuck? No thanks after it happened once. Briley 100% reliable.

Carlson chokes are hardly "cheap" They may not be as polished as snobby Briley chokes, but they work just fine. I run Briley's in my trap gun. They don't perform any better than the Carlson's I had been using, but the extended tubes do look cool.
