He said "semiautomatic weapons". That includes just about every rifle and handgun sold today, not just their assault weapons. They're going to go for everything.

Pretty sure that was the plan all along.   Make people hate black rifles, outlaw black rifles, then say "Oh gee, all the sa blue steel and walnut rifles that were not assault weapons, well, guess what, they are semi auto with detachable mags.  They gotta go too.  It's the D's classic moving the goal posts.

While everyone was feeling warm and fuzzy building their non military feature rifles, defending AR pattern MRS with tunnel vision, they ignored the potential for the Ds to extend that to ALL semi autos with detachable mags.  They could not ban semi-autos in the first AWB, that would have killed the bill, so they banned scary looking rifles as a stepping stone.

Right from the beginning, the dems did not want to ban ARs, they have always wanted to ban all semi-auto firearms with detachable mags entirely.  It is the only way to disempower the people they want to subjugate with one party socialist rule.

it's not just the dems. it's the repubs too. if the repubs were truly fighting this, we wouldn't have shiit to worry about.
